Its interesting because in the article..
Larry Hazzard, chairman of the New Jersey Athletic Commission, said, "If both camps -- Bowe and Golota -- mutually agree to being tested for steroids, we would oblige them.
"Currently, we do not require steroid testing, but there is latitude in our rules and regulations to ensure the integrity of an event."
If anyone is interested, there was an allegation from Riddick Bowe about Golota using steriods in their first fight, and Bowe wanted Golota tested before he would fight him again:

It doesn't really count as an interview if the interviewer already knows the answers and sides unquestionably with the interviewee. Foxx was essentially giving a rim-job. Lost a bit of respect for the man, which isn't to say that I'm taking the Pacquiao side of this whole debacle. I think that random drug testing should be mandatory, but Mayweather is clearly lying about his intentions. He is asking for random drug tests because he suspects Pacquiao of using PEDs (based on the completely unfounded opinions of his two crackhead mentors) and realises the psychological pre-victory he can get from forcing Pacquiao to take these tests. Mayweather is not doing this to 'clean up the sport' as he claims.
LOL Jamie Fox is a ****ing floud nuthugger. "Lets talk about him (manny) jumping and gaining all this weight."
PBF, "Actually I also weighed 106 when I started but the difference is I was amateur and he was pro"
Jamie Fox, "Big difference!"
Interview FAIL!
Haters just get out the thread, Floyd is going to demand random drug testing and thats all to it!! Accept it and go on with your life. It was going to happen regardless anyway, dont get mad that Floyd is leading the charge. You just tell your Roid shooting Champion Pac that his PED days are limited.
So there's no need for tests since you know for sure that pac is indeed using PEDs right?
Just when it's almost impossible for a man.. a fighter to accomplish what he had accomplished in boxing... an Asian to defeat boxers of different nationalities... and just a trainer "thinks" not so "certain" that pac might be on something... YOU BELIEVE IT ALREADY.
You don't do justice to any of these boxers be it Floyd or Pac.
He said Tyson requested that Holyfield take the test. There was an article on Boxingscene that tied Holyfield to steroid use but it is only circumstantial.

Regardless of Mayweathers motivation, it is an issue that needs to be looked into and evaluated. I don't understand the motivation of some people that are quick to say someone is innocent or someone is guilty because no one really knows for sure. I was shocked to find out some of the really big names in baseball that have used peds and steriods in the past : David Ortiz, Jason Giambi, Jose Canseco, A-Rod, Andy Petitte, Sammy Sosa, and the list goes on and on. It is total BS to defend someone because they have a nice personality or is likable. As a professional athlete the standards are a lot higher than just the average citizen, that holds true for politicians and Hollywood stars so the BS about being innocent before being proven guilty DOES NOT HOLD WATER. Look at Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, and McGuire (until he admitted his usage). It is a totally different standard
good post...............

you keep saying its been done before and in tyson vs hollyfield but its been said by experts that its new.....provide proof about olympic style testing not for a goddamn hiv test if you can, where is your proof for tyson vs holly field?
it is new, its not a first but its still new since very few fighters have been part of it and not many fans know its even been done.
i dont remember were i heard about it, but i know it was done. its was a thing back then too with PEDs, holyfield put on all that muscle moving up to HW and tyson wanted him to get tested to make sure he was clean.
again whats new is making this thing mandatory, they have mandatory urine tests and mandatory HIV tests bot not blood tests. it has been done on occassion but it isnt part of every big fight, if it was it would be a new rules in the commissions. thats whats new about it, the method has been practised before on occassion.

ive seen that article before and it was done by a national agency in germany........iwas NADA.....its called national for a reason......even floyd admits he's NEW to it.....
Sure its new but I have a funny feeling that after people see the process on 24/7 you will see more supporters for it in the media.
bullshit..where is your proof that tyson vs hollyfield did an olympic style drug testing?.......even floyd said it has to start somewhere, sometime.....admitting its new to him....
it has been done before it just hasnt been mandatory. thats what floyd is looking to accomplish. like he says he wants to clean up boxing and to do that all fighters need to take random blood tests before fights.
it has been done before on occassion but unless its protocall the sport still isnt clean. like the HIV test thing, possibly some fighters took HIV tests before it became mandatory. its the same here.
when floyd says it needs to start he means it needs to start being there for every fight, its already been present for some fights.
bullshit..where is your proof that tyson vs hollyfield did an olympic style drug testing?.......even floyd said it has to start somewhere, sometime.....admitting its new to him....
Somebody also posted an article that show A. Abraham fights do it as well. If they started doing it in championship fights that would be a decent start. The commish won't change the policy unless they are forced to. It would also take a lot of time for them to even decide if they would change the policy.
lol....oh lord.....when has an olympic style blood testing been done in boxing?.......i never said its a bad thing, but theres commmisioners for a reason......why not just fight under standard rules?.....he's done it in all of his fights, why cant he do it with packy?....
tyson demanded holyfield went thru it for their fights, abraham did it for some of his defenses in germany back when he was IBF MW champ. it has been done.
the standard changes all the time. at one point they didnt do any tests at all, ppl back then couldve said "why dont we stick with the standard". but boxing just like everything else is evolving, including use of illegal substances. and a simple urine test doesnt cover everything.
the commission didnt find margaritos plaster wraps and he ruined cottos career. this is a dangerous sport and it needs to be monitored properly.
alot of the mayweathers think pac is on something, i dont think he is. but the real question is if hes clean why wont he get tested?
all his excuses are lame. first hes scared of needles (yeah right kid, nice tattoos). then he doesnt want to get drained by taking blood (which is physicly impossible).
then its all mental, and he refuses to get tested the day of the fight. he wants 7 days, he gets 7 days. he wants 14 days, he gets 14 days. now he wants 24 days which makes the tests pointless, floyd realisez pac doesnt want any and the fight is of.
pac killed the fight not floyd and no matter how much u dislike floyd and dont want to give him credit for anything, u need to realize that.
you mean to say he' just got big after jmm fight?......did'nt he have that notieaty 3 years ago or atleast right before the hoya fight?.....how come he did'nt ask for it then, that he has to wait this long and almost in the end of his carreer to do all this shit?....
man stop hating.
this is hating right here, u and me both u will look for any excuse to call floyd a coward and make him out to be the bad guy.
it might not have been on his mind 3 years ago, maybe it was brought to his attention by his father just recently.
end of the day who cares? its still a good thing, better late than never. hes doing something good for the sport how can u turn that against him?
theres no such thing as blood draining, blood tests are a standard procedure in lots of sports, its been done before in boxing and its just a good thing for the sport to make it protocall.
all your excuses why this is a bad thing is lame, so is your constant bashing of floyd. stop hating.
not a terrible thing at all but do you really believe him trying to clean the sport?.....cmon now.
Like I said I think it has more to do with him being sued. He is trying to show that his motivation to request testing was bigger than the Pac situation.
thisbitch is so full of it.....why did'nt floyd start cleaning the sport 10 damn years ago?.......fukkin pussy
maybe bcuz he didnt have the noteriaty he has today, where he can really speak his mind and make ppl listen.
or maybe its bcuz steroids wasnt as recognized an issue in boxing 10 years ago before mosley, vargas, berto etc tested positive.
and lets not forget there are so many new illegal substances now compared to 10 years ago, back then a urine test was more effective.
thisbitch is so full of it.....why did'nt floyd start cleaning the sport 10 damn years ago?.......fukkin pussy
He is making that claiming i think because he is being sued. Either way the testing is not a terrible thing.
