Williams is a average decent fighter right now nothing more nothing less.

I have watched this guy for a hot minute now and besides the volume of punches he throws I see nothing else about him and his boxing ability that would cause me to say he is that good. I truly think "El Maravilla" exposed him for what he is an unskilled pressure fighter who is very hittable with a suspect chin. At 160 vs a 154lber he got hurt something terrible and would have been finished if not for the bell in the first round. He throws punches that even for his wing span are way out of range. I think Elite fighters dominate solid fighters. Verno Phillips. Winky Wright. Both a bit past it, but still solid. Verno Phillips never had a prime Winky had a style all wrong for Williams. the only very good fighter he's fought above 147 is sergio martinez (whom he fought abouve martinez's natural weight class) in 147, margarito and quintana (twice, lost the 1st) i don't see how he is the "definition" of p4p with his limited resume, although to be fair, pavlik did duck him I think Elite fighters dominate solid fighters. Paul Williams is an elite P4P fighter. He's the definition of P4P. Not overrated at all.

first of williams has an iron chin, saying he has a suspect chin is ignorant just like talking about him fighting at 168 in the near future. he is beatable, he can be outboxed theres no doubt about that. but his size, workrate, chin and heart will still give most fighters out there a hard fight. end of the day all real fans know he has flaws, but hes young enough to correct them and he has alot of god given talents that cant be taught. his heart, chin, height, reach, power (when he uses it) etc. boxing skills can be taught, hes like 26 years old ffs, give him a few years to improve and he will be a monster. To me hs is over rated all this most feared crap and this one wont fight him and that one is cared of him went out the window with the Clottey fight for me nukka. He could have pulled a JT and fought Clottey on showtime stayed in the welter weight divison rather then move to 154 and fight a Verno Phillips. I think Paul is good but not great. I like him because he fights and have enjoyed the three fights of his I have seen. But I don't know how great he will be at middle weight or higher. If your in guys faces fighting them to be really good you need power. And when boxers move up in weight it does not help their power or their chin. At middle weight I would compare him to someone like Juan Diaz. What is so great about Pwill? He gets hit does punch that hard and he has good hand speed but not great. Best thing he has going for him is his height but at middle weight his height is not so great.

Thats fine I agree with that. But its good to see Williams getting recognition amongst these writers. Posting on b-scene would have you think he is Billy Dibs. And, that is good... Hopefully more big names are willing to fight him now that he is getting recognition... I am happy for him... So maybe fighters will step up now... Even thought there have been fighters who are and were willing to fight him... I don't believe about the whole most avoided fighter in the world... IMO that is what overrates him...
