I think this would have been a great exciting fight. Take the Chavez who fought against Taylor, Camacho and Haugen and put him in there with the Judah who impressed us all at 140 and early on at 147. Lighting fast hands against one of the best body punchers to ever lace em up. I could see Judah with his south paw style slick movement and powerful uppercut pitted up against Chavez leaning in trying to hit him to the body and break him down.
Here are the intangibles

Another I brought back.....GuNzZ
Note how you couldn't list one particular fight of Judah's in which he impressed.
Just read this post
Do you recall the vicious beating that Judah took at the hands of Miguel Cotto? Just imagine what a prime Chavez would do to him.
This wouldn't even be competitive.
Such a straight shooter, love your work as always Donkim
That's the guy; Mario Azabache Martinez, he did fight Azumah Nelson but I don think he (Mario) beat him. If I recall it correctly it was a 12 round decision for Azumah.
Yeah thats him. I felt he did enough to win the first fight myself.:boxing:
Great post.
BTW is that Azabache Martinez the one that i felt beat Azumah Nelson?

I don’t know of what Julio Cesar Chavez this guy Tito is talking about, prime Chavez was all resistance, never got cut badly, and was able to take amazing punches (see him versus Chapo Rosario). He had very good defense (see him versus Azabache) and used to put lots of pressure on his opponents.
Overrated, give me a break; some of the world champions whom Chávez defeated include Jose Luis Ramírez, Rafael Limón, Rocky Lockridge, Meldrick Taylor, Roger Mayweather, Lonnie Smith, Sammy Fuentes, Héctor "Macho" Camacho, Juan Laporte, Edwin Rosario, Greg Haugen, etc.
Additional to that he holds records for most successful defenses of world titles and most title fights. A freaking monster in the ring during his prime homie!

LOL styles make fights.
WTF, you wanna put a guy who succumbs to pressure and fades down the stretch of a fight up against a guy like Chavez who almost never got cut in his prime, was proven to have an abnormally thick cranium which was proven in a cat scan and put more pressure on you than prolly a prime Joe Frazier.
Styles make fights LMAO.
I didn't make the poll I just said I picked Judah is all. I think judah had a style at 140 and the combination of his hand speed and power could give Chavez trouble. I think he busts him up and ends it on cuts.
I am wide awake my friend and you have to understand that styles make fights. I think Judah has the style to give Chavez trouble his combination of speed power the way he hides that uppercut rolls his front shoulder and fire the uppercut and stright left hand. I am talking about that Judah before he fought Kosta. If I had to pick a prime Judah I would say that was his prime leading up to that fight. he was the Undisputed Welter Weight Champion. To simply dismiss that is crazy. Yes I know Chavez J.C had a padded record like his son does now. he was given a gift when he fought Whitaker and I thought he was great but a bit over rated. He did exceptional body work and had decent power. He was a worker bee he was not great in any single attribute but what he lacked in certain areas he made up for with guts and determination. I know Chavez and at 140lbs I think Judah beats him brah. STYLES MAKE FIGHTS!

Well all you seem to be talking about is his uppercut. Do you even know anything about Chavez? the guy had skin like leather back in his prime.
Meldrick Taylor, Hector Camacho had the speed of Judah if not more.
Judah never beat anyone!! when he was in his so called prime and he got beat up by any half way decent fighter he fought, yet you think he beats Chavez LMAO.
Chavez would have trouble early and eventually walk him down, wake up.

I never said one punch KO or KO I said TKO on cuts. I think Judah can rearrange Chavez's face with some nice work. Chavez cut easily and Judah throws pretty hard and from angles you don't see punches coming. Oh yeah and if judah landed that BOLO uppercut flush on Chavez's chin while he was leaning in for a body shot he could hurt him and bad my man. Chavez a had a great chin but name me one single fighter he fought and beat that had the handspeed and power of Judah at 140?

One punch does not win a fight.
Are you saying that Cotto's chin is on a par with Chavez's? its considerably weaker imo, that claim about Margarito cannot be backed up with evidence anyway. Cotto might! of had a better china at 147 but Chavez had an iron! chin and you need more than one punch to hurt him, much less stop him.
Not to put too fine a point on it, Judah is a quitter who cant handle pressure.

That BOLO Uppercut is sick. People underestimate Cotto's chin at 147. Because Plaserito stopped him with bricks in his hands does not mean Cotto got a weaker chin. He was also exhausted in that fight and beaten very bad to the body as well. Who else hurt him bad Pacquiao who has Pacquiao not hurt in his fights? come on I am waiting? Judah would catch Chavez leaning in with something he did not see coming pepper him all night with shots and bust his face up bad.

Who though?
Taylor was throwing around a 100 punches per round or something like that. You mean the uppercut that the weaker chinned Cotto was able to shake off? Judah throws single punches that if your a good fighter who can take or avoid those shots can walk right through him.
