I don't know what Guillermo Rigondeaux's purse is for his "Friday Night Fights" bout this week, but a tip of the cap to the two-time Cuban Olympic champion for announcing that he is donating his entire purse to the Children of Haiti Fund.
ESPN, Rafael.
Very nice of the kid.
Yeah, he looks pretty impressive but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We don't know how good his chin is. The difference with him and Gamboa is Gamboa has survived some gut checks.
I agree but realistically, this guy likely won't wind up in a position to have his chin checked. He is cautious and patient and his accuracy, power, and speed are almost super natural. He could challenge for a belt anytime he wants to. Even with his limited pro experience, he fights like a chiseled veteran and will only get better with time.
This act on his part only adds to his champion persona, boxing needs more like him for sure
Class act. I think he is the real deal. That insane am background, the calmness inside the ring. He will be a force to be dealt with in the years to come.
gamboa is a wild swinging mo FO.
rigo, stays calm and even though he is very fast, he dont throw pucnhes like a idiot. he waits and place his punches perfectly!!

Yea that is a good gesture, he hasn't made a bunch of money and I am sure his purse is not huge (still it is still atleast several thousand dollars and that is a hefty ammount to give to charity) but every little bit helps not to mention the exposure for the cause.
