That is a good one... That slipped my mind...
The thing with Rigondeaux is that hes so skilled. He'll be able to fight for a long time. I dont see anybody beating him at 122 or 126. Absolutely no one. Hes here for the long run. So is Gamboa. Thats why the getting moved up so fast. Rigondeaux will be the same age as Mayweather in 4 years.
Alvarez is a GBP Dream. They will move him slowly enough to the point that it will be just him and a few other notable WW's around. The kid is only 19.
I am not so sure Rigondeaux is 28 to be honest with you... And, Rigondeaux could have his hands full with fighters like Hasegawas and Poonsawat at 122... And, at 126 Gamboa could give him trouble... But, the main factor is Rigondeaux age with me... I am not so sure how hold he is...
Victor Ortiz and Jorge Linares was GBP dream look how that turned out... Granted that Linares lost was not great Golden boy fault... But, Alvarez will turn out the same way... Golden boy does not know how to move fighters... They just don't... And, if they do move him slowly they there is no way he would be in the top 5 in 4 years... And, if you look at Alvarez fight against Larry Mosley you would see that they will have to move him very slowly very slowly... And, Golden boy is going to fuck up... Alvarez biggest mistake was going to Golden boy... For example why would Alvarez be fighting in March against an undefeated Argentinian? Why risk putting him against an unknown undefeated Argentinian in March when you planning on putting him on the undercard of Floyd-Shane in May? What sense does that make? Didn't they learn there lesson when the put Victor Ortiz against an unknown Argentinian? Yea Alvarez career ended before it started....
Rigondeaux might be retired by 2014 or maybe going down hill by that time...
Alvarez career is over before it started... Signing with Golden boy was a HUGE mistake....

Pac will be 34, how is that retired?
Paul Williams
Chad Dawson
Timothy Bradley
those 3 will be there
He'll be 35, having been a pro for 19 years and 65 odd fights.
If he is still fighting, he'll be on current Barrera or Morales' level, which would be plain sad. Be much more likely to see Floyd still fighting, takes less punishment in the ring, fights less often.
Anyhow, I'd add Yuriorkis Gamboa and Andre Ward to that list.
Depending on what kinda' money trouble he's actually in and given how he likes to throw it around, the amount of punishment he takes in his fights and how he stays fit between fights, it wouldn't surprise me any to see PBF still kickin' around in or near the upper tier of fighters. :boxing:
Bradley, Dawson, Williams, Perez, and Ward
I think Gonzalez and Jones will be around the top 10...
Porter, Henry, and Guerrero will be borderline top 10
Agree with some of the above, also think khan might be around the p4p rankings. He will be 27 in his peak, and probably at Welterweight.
Who knows really, anyone could be in there.
Keep in mind, mosley, hopkins, pacquiao, mayweather, cotto, vitali klitschko, marquez, will all be retired by then.
As far as we know though. Who knows if pac and may will continue. It is highly doubtful...but this is boxing. Barely anyone retires on top form.
I cant tell you the exact rankings because someone we havent heard of can jump to the front of the list. But out of the known fighters, this is how they'll be ranked:
1. Darren Barker of the UK Super MiddleWeight
2. Gamboa Lightweight
3. Paul Williams Light Heavyweight
4. Valero Welterweight
5. Hasegawa Featherweight
