Is it safe to say that we will see the best Floyd Mayweather ever May 1st?

I hope he doesn't just cruise and do just enough to win like against DLH...

If floyd were to beat shane badly I hope Larry Merchant is not announcing. He would be in tears on air. Thats the worst nightmare that man could have.

I doubt it! ssm is nothing special at all. you will see pbf make him look silly for the majority of the fight with a jab and movement. ssm will score when pbf decides to sit on the ropes IOT counter and make ssm spend some energy.

Shane is one hell of a fighter, there is no doubt. He has an iron chin and posses fast hands and power. Shane will be able to push Mayweather to the limits. Mayweather has no choice but to bring his 'A game'. However, Mosley comes with flaws and as is always the case, Mayweather is a master of exposing them. Mosley has slow feet and average defense at best. I wish this fight was happening this weekend...i can't wait.

As confident as I am with Mayweather beating Pacquiao, I'm much more confident in a Mosley schooling. I can't see how a wild brawler like Mosley who makes a lot of mistakes, has bad defense, no legs, will have a chance against Mayweather. A lot of his power punches he needs to have his feet planted. He constantly throws power punches with his eyes closed.

Mosley is very old. Very past his prime, he was Fighter of the Year in 1998. He has been inactive for over two years. If Floyd can't KO this bum in 3 rounds, Floyd is pure garbage. Quit the hatin', as a Pac fan, this really pisses me off. Just get over it and enjoy the fight. Pac is fighting a dangerous guy in Clottey and Floyd is fighting the #1 WW in the world. Give it up and just move on.

The Gatti fight is a good example. He just had no respect for him. He will respect him but when he sees Shane is fighting like he has a neck brace on. Floyd wont be able to help himself.

Gatti was all washed up by his three brutal wars with Ward by the time he faced Mayweather. And years before that, Oscar beat him bad. The Gatti that Floyd beat was a marinated version of his previous self who Floyd cherry picked from a field of at leas half a dozen fighters available. Gatti NEVER would have stood a chance against Floyd.

Mosley is a bralwer first off. He doesnt cut the ring off and his jab is crap. He also telegraphs his punches. Floyd is going to beat him up pretty good. This is the first wild brawler Floyd has faced in a while. Hatton is a brawler but he wasnt wild swinging. He made the fight ugly from his rough house tactics. Shane will get beat up prettu bad IMO. I agree except I don't know about beating him up. He will dominate Mosley of that I have no doubt. I never understood why everyone thought Floyd would duck Shane when I don't feel Shane poses much of a threat to Mayweather especially at this point.

So Floyd didn't bring out his A game against Oscar, Castillo, Judah or Hatton? Because all of those guys were winning rounds during their fights with Floyd and Floyd had to dig deep to beat them all. I doubt we see anything in this fight we haven't seen before. He knows Mosley can hurt him so he'll be cautious and outbox Shane over 12rds. Easy UD
