I mean I love Shane and he won me a lot of money vs Margarito..
He's a HOF great.. But people do have short memories.. This is the same guy who was outboxed by Cotto. He didnt beat up Shane, but OUTBOXED Mosley, he merely kept Mosley off of him with short quick potshotting...Mosleys handspeed actually looked ordinary vs Cotto.. Last time I checked, Floyd is 5x the boxer Cotto is.. Faster, better movement, top 10 greatest defense ever, great reaction time etc etc... If Mosley got beat by low budget boxing that Cotto gave him, wtf is he gonna do vs Floyd besides block punches with his non moving head?? I guess Mosley always has a punchers chance tho
YES! THAT IS THE EXACT WORD TO USE FOR HIS PERFORMANCE IN THAT FIGHT!!! I remember thinking the same thing first time watching that fight when I downloaded it the next day! I just kept thinking that Mosley seemed too nice or something.
To me that is why Mosley is often so frusterating Forrest 2, Winky 1&2, and Mayorga were all fights that made me scream at my TV for Mosley to do something. If he fights with more vigor and urgency I think his chances would improve somewhat but I have watched to much Mosley to just expect that against a fighter like Floyd.
I would be pleasently suprised though as the fight would be much more pleasing to the eye.
no one taking mosley believes hes the same fighter that fought cotto....he couldve beat cotto but was way too passive.....so its because of his trainer plus his motivation he seems like he wants to prove something.....YES! THAT IS THE EXACT WORD TO USE FOR HIS PERFORMANCE IN THAT FIGHT!!! I remember thinking the same thing first time watching that fight when I downloaded it the next day! I do not think Mosley stands much of a chance at all really, he always struggles with better technical boxers then himself and Floyd would be the best he has faced in that regard. I just do not really see what Mosley is going to do to consistently get at Floyd, sure Mosley will hit Floyd with a few straight rights but is that enough for him to really win? Mosley's jab will get countered by straight right hands which will eventually leading to him not throwing his range finder which will lead to him only throwing rights which some will land but without getting the proper range it would be difficult to really land them as he wants add to that if he messes up and misses with it he will also get countered.
Now on the inside it should be a move even fight with a lot of grappling but I believe Mayweather to have the better inside games so he will probably get the best there even if it is a slim margin. Now if Floyd can win on the outside and the inside (or even just keep it even or close to even) what is there left for Mosley to do but try to knock Floyd out with one shot and that is a pretty hard task.
That said Mosley is still an excellent fighter and he will be trying to win so a victory over him would be meaningful also keep in mind that Mosley has only really lost 1 maybe 2 fights badly (with Forrest 1 being the worst and possibly Winky 1) so if Floyd is really able to take Mosley apart that deserves a great deal of respect. You can only fight the guys that exist and a number of people think Mosley has a good shot I disagree but Floyd is smaller then the guys that beat Mosley so who knows.
I have wanted to see the fight for a long time just to see if my hypothesis is correct no matter what I think the outcome will be, the winner would deserve respect either way.
No he didn't
Floyd schooled JMM, it was the most one sided fight of the year with the exception of Duckquiao/Hatton
Plus, no one said he landed 100 right hands, but he did land several (5-6-7), that is not alot at all.
Calm down.

Please go re-watch the fight. Then talk to me.
It is sickening that no one is giving Shane a shot, and I'm as loyal a Floyd fan as they come. Floyd has his hands full. I think Shane has the majority of advantages in this fight, though Floyd has the primary ones: skill and ring intelligence. I wouldn't be surprised to see Floyd on the canvas after miscalculating one of those big bombs. We'll get a clear glimpse of what Mayweather, who I consider to be the best of my lifetime, is made of in this fight.
Thanks for this does of reality,it really is nuts as to why the majority of fight fans feel Mosley doesn't stand a chance!!Surely they realize that the 1 fight floyd had in 3 years was a fat lightweight, right?!!Well I give Mosley a very good chance of pulling the upset!!

mosleys guna prove a lot of people wrong.
this is a big test for floyd, hes not one for passing exams!.
Marquez landed several straights flush on floyd, mand u saw in his face floyd felt em,even hatton nocked him off balance in first round of thier fight.
mosley is older but smarter fighter than people give him credit for. brother naz wont allow no floyd one sided decision to happen, mosley will tame floyd, wear him down and knock him out.
i want mosley for this one,but i do like floyd,as a boxer,no so much as a person or his put on persona public image he portrays.
Yea...right..
I feel Shane's got a good chance in this. He will definitely make it uncomfortable for Floyd and could shake him up if he connects big.
However, as much as I'd like to see Mosley KO PBF, I think Mayweather is gonna up his game and really make a statement with this fight.

Plenty of people do. And they're wrong.
Well that solves it. They might as well call off the fight. Give Shane his payday!!! No point in stepping in the ring. Why fight a fight you can't win? Do you hear me Mosley!?!? You lost the minute you said yes to the fight. You lost to Forrest/Wright and Cotto.....THERE IS NO WHY IN HELL YOU CAN WIN THIS FIGHT!!!!!!!!!
That is why I love boxing!!!! You always know who is gonna win before the fight even happens. Floyd keeps his 0!!!! In real fights!!! Fantasy fights!!! And Pre-fights!!!!!!
Floyd ATG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dead1:
Since were talking about past performances,y ou people have short memories. Mayweather didn't exactly appear unbeatable agaist Oscar or Hatton either. Don't kid yourselves, this will be by far the toughest test of his life.
He hit Cotto with non stop bombs and didnt even stun him.
Thats because Cotto got some strong chin. Flyods chin is a little stronger than Ricky Hatton. Why do you think Flyod would rather run the entire fight and not get hit. Flyods previous fights proves that when he get hit he get stunned easily, but lucky for Flyod opponent doesnt finish the job.
True story.
That's unfair he did have Cotto backing up towards the end and hurt him a bit, he also hurt Margarito badly when he planted his feet. Cotto was an excellent fighter at that stage also, i think Floyd will win but you got to be crazy man to think Mosley doesn't stand a fair chance. If he catches Floyd with a big bomb it could be over
When has Floyd been KO'd with one punch?
Mosley has no chance. Mosley looked slow against Cotto for gods sake and Cotto boxed his head off.
Here is the thing... If there is no way Shane can win this fight... If he really has a very slim or no chance of winning... Then Floyd should not get any credit for the victory... For all you guys who are saying Shane chances of winning are slim to none then if Floyd does win... you guys can not act like it was a great win...
Because, those are the same people who won't give Pac any credit for beating Clottey... Because, Clottey is looked as a fighter that is tailor made for Pac... And, that is fine. If you do feel Clottey has slim to no chance of winning then Pac should get no credit...

cotto doesnt pot shot. they were trading power shots all night
