it was a bunch of boxing people talking on the internet. Now its just a bunch of internet people talking about boxing.
It could be that most of the old timers are already bored with. I get what you mean but it is really just a natural phenomenon. When I was in college it was a great experience for me, while the alumni's were talking of the good ol past. When I graduated and saw most of the students attitude, I talked of my good ol past. When I was new at work, the veterans were talking about how their life was better when they were just hired. Then comes a time when I talked to my junior colleague of the times when things were better. I'm still relatively new here in this site but I'm already experiencing the change of culture around here. This is not a diss towards you or the old timers. It is just I often realize that when I talked about the past, I realize that I am no longer satisfied with what I am have or what I am doing. But it can be rectified by doing things that I normally do not do. I seek new challenges at work or seek new perspectives. It could be the young ones are right. Just keep an open mind and try to see things the way they are seeing it. My two cents.
One thing someone pointed out though was correct, when pac fans and mexican fans went at it, shockingly, they knew the fighters. Guys like XCaret and even morons like Ferocity as much as i couldnt stand Ferocity, he knew mexican fighters in and out. And the people i mentioned earlier like Kadyo, Chups and Jose Rizal, they knew the fighters.
But these guys, you get so many people who just want to be on one side "Oh im on this side" as thread stealer would put it. You get people wanting for form more or less a tribal band of brothers ready and willing to take a load to the face for their favorite fighter.
Then you get people like dontasemebrah and tortilla warrior who spend more time talking about fighters they hate, then the sport they claim to love. I realize people are just going to think what they think.
When i joined, the waves shifted, depending on who was fighting within the next month, thats whos fans flooded the board.
But this board has been on repeat for 5 years.
People like to lie and say "oh when mayweather retired it was great"
when that muthafukker retired, the same dumbass people who were making threads on him now were doing it then, it never stopped.
This board will never stop until mayweather and pacquiao retire and finally this board will be back to where it was.
In all reality, i like east side a bit better in some regards because you see alot less of what goes on here, where an entire group of fans of about two fighters take over everything.
Also, you get alot of people on here living vicariously through other fighters just so that pacquiao/floyd will lose. Bandwagoning guys like mosley etc
These guys live to see their fighters rivals get discredited in every sense.
The retirement was painful for them you have to realise that, They called for him to retire and when he did they couldnt stop talking about him, One thing i notice in the last 5 years was fans of a certain boxer come and go as soon as they get beat.
years older than you......
You should be embarrassed to say you're years older than 23. Seriously. And don't make any excuses for why you don't call into the show Sunday. If you do you will get destroyed.
Am talking about 2004/2005 before Mayweather took on this persona, He was about to fight Gatti and he started talking and the hating and boxing forum change from then on.
For me it was totally different back then, People dont actually hate on fighters that much, The dont call themselves Flomos, Pactards or Paclowns etc, They have more respect for their fellow posters but since early 2006 till now things have gone south.

I don't know I guess it is possible I have read this board for way longer then I have been a member but I forget when I started exactly. Every message baord I have ever been on is bascially like this though, slightly different in some ways maybe in the way people talk shit and name call but it is still there and people in every message board seem to think things were better in the past.
To me these are just the ways of the internet, it is kind of sad portrait of society though.
I don't think those days ever existed, atleast not in the time since I started reading these boards. I would also find it odd that this message board is really different from every forum I have ever been, they are all basically the same and people always complain that it used to be better in the past.

hernandez which one the old one or the not so good one?......lol...since you all about excuses, corrales lost to clottey and oscar is jusy a year younger than the guy that pac destoyed, not UD but destroyed.....
Floyd fought Corralles in 2001 at 130 Pounds where Corralles was 33-0 in his prime and destroying people. Floyd TKO'd him and dropped him 5 Times.
Clottey fought Corralles in 2007 at 147 Pounds after Corralles LOST 2 fight str8 vs. Castillo and Casamayor. He also only fought ONCE in both years. No to mention Clottey didnt hurt him ONCE.
Pac fought Oscar at a weight he hasnt made in 9 years. Oscar was drained and wouldve been KO'd by anybody that night. Floyd fought him at 154 with small gloves, a small ring and Oscar came in weighting over 160 Pounds.
You are a terrible poster.
Did he really say that? Corrales was past his best fighting above his best weight, Corrales was in his prime and a best when Floyd fought him. Baracuda really is simple minded.
Here ya go.
Those were the days...

All I have to say is be above jokers like that, I should not really lecture as I have gotten into tons of bullshit with people equally bad but in the thousands of posts that I have spent trying to reason with them nothing has come of it.
So just be above them and don't play their stupid game of tit for tat, it is a huge waste of time from my experiance.
Also peopel should talk about what they want to talk about I see no real issue with the most popular fighters getting talked about, but I do agree that people should keep it to the threads at hand and not make a million threads on the same exact topics everyday as that does kind of drowned out other topics that are also interesting.
lyin ass......so ?...i aint no dlt kind a guy.....i like to be straight forward ...When was the last time you wrote a complete sentence on here?
You should be ashamed to be a grown ass man and you post like a kid.
it was a bunch of boxing people talking on the internet. Now its just a bunch of internet people talking about boxing.
all started when the floyd mayweather vs pac man fight talks was on then all hell broke loose it was constant 24/7 fighting on here....
Im with ElJesus Ive never seen him type more then 2 sentences at a time.Hahaha, I agree with you guys.
I want to make a bet him with him. We can create a new thread and have the members of boxing scene decide who they want to get rid of. He already ducked me once.
find me a post(not edited) where i used that word gayweather and ill stfu.....lol
find me a post where you put a paragraph together.
You type in 1 or 2 sentences 100% of the time.
Wouldnt shock me. If hes years older then a 23 year old typing like how he types he should be ashamed of himself.
"gayweather"
I mean cmon hes a grown ass man sneaking to use his Mommys lap top.I'm 22...
He gave me red K and left me this comment... stupidass.
A rather annoying george foreman who once again kept favoring the bigger puncher even when it was obvious that floyd was never, ever going to be caught by corralles. He did the same bullsh!t in the trinidad fight and it was in the same year. Although the trinidad fight made me mad because he was a national hero, it was funny to see a guy like hopkins, whom i only knew for having some decent fights here and there, destroy a guy like tito after making tito so mad.
Also, Baracuda is as fraudulent as it gets. Hes one of those posters who gets by because there are enough idiots that think like him to where a contingent of posters will get along with him. But when the deck is stacked against him and hes forced to actually explain his positions and form an opinion thats not "chicken, ducked, puzzy, gayweather, no power, flomo" he seriously cant do it.
He cant debate and when he does, you get what you get in this thread. I dont think i have ever seen him write more than 3 sentences in a post because i seriously, with all my heart, believe hes a infantile retard incapable of rational thought beyond idol worship.
When pac isnt on top, guys like Kadyo, Chups, Jose Rizal and Horge will still be here as they always have. And idiots like pacman777, Top8gun and Baracuda will thankfully be long gone.
Bro he said Clottey beat the tougher version of Corralles.
He also said Calzaghe beating Hops is better then any Floyd win.
WOW.
