Will you guys give Amir Khan credit if he beats Marquez in may???

IMO Marquez is 10x more deadlier then Maidana. Anyone who doesn't think this should take a closer look. Khan def. gets credit in my book. I was expecting him to face Mallinaggi, i swear. Then, all of a sudden i see him facing Marquez. Holy shit. :boxing:

Marquez will be Khan's best opponent to date and despite holding all the physical advantages at light welter weight a win over him undoubtedly will be the highlight of his career. However the ducking of Maidana the mandatory will go against him just as Khan's fast track build up to a world title avoiding British and European title fights then fighting Kotelnik who he himself described as the worst world champion tarnished that win. Had Khan rematched Prescott, fought for British and European titles not fought so many little guys ie the standard route to a World title and not the path taken he would have a lot more fans and respect. The race thing take with a pinch of salt . I can see why Khan is taking this fight over Maidana,if he loses to Marquez it will most likely be on points or a late TKO and he will have lost to a great champion and have a semblance of credibility and it would be career rebuild time. The odds are he would out box Maidana but if Maidana were to win it would be by a Precott type KO and the wheels would come off the hype train and rebuilding his career in the States would be a very hard sell.IMO These are closer to the real reasons why he taking on Marquez not Maidana not the fight building scam.

listen...believe me maidana s win over ortiz skyrocketted him into fame. but imo and some others ortiz made rookie mistake being knocked off gameplan and most believe ortiz easily whips marcos in a rematch. that being said khan made the right move in stateside boxingfans eyes dissing marcos who some feel isnt in the same league as khan and fighting a much more viable and dangerous foe in jmm. i could be wrong but its only you UK guys that want to see a maidana matchup. and as a tough tuneup on the small screen in UK under mr.warrens tutaledge it could be viable in the future when khan wants to take a break. you are correct however i just feel if Khan were to fight a big puncher like Maidanna it would silence quite alot people...even for a little while.

I'd bet on khan against jmm @140. I wouldn't even touch the maidana/khan fight, maidana can end him with one punch. anyone with power could end a fight with Khan with one punch, its all about whether they can land or not

Amir Khan should get credit and I will credit him if he beats JMM. But NSB is full of haters who just want to see Khan fail. This is the first time, and correct me if I'm wrong, that even UK fans aren't supporting Khan. I think race/origin/religion has something to do with it but who am I? People don't give Khan props because they feel the man is overrated and he's been too hyped by the media, his fans, and his former promoter. Ducking Marcos Maidana made him look bad in boxing fans eyes. Race, religion, and culture has nothing to do with what happens in the ring.

if this fight happens i would bet my house on jmm. khan has the speed/power but jmm is a far superior boxer imo. and i think he has enough power to finish khan WHEN, not if, he catches him flush after 8 rounds of setting khan up for that one perfect shot. ?> this fight is at 140, marquez looked ****ing horrid at 142 against mayweather. now I know khan ain't mayweather but I don't think marquez will be very effective at 140 either. Probably gonna drop at least $1000 on khan.

I'm looking at this fight from a gamblers perspective, not as a fan of either khan or marquez. Easy fukkin $$$ gonna bet a ton on khan.

No he doesn't deserve credit, this fight is a Khan coming out party. He's fighting a 36 year old SFW/LW who is 4 inches shorter and who holds no advantages at 140. Khan wins this easily and should be fighting a proper LWW in Maidana, he's just trying to avoid fighting Maidana until he loses like he did with the rematch against Prescott. Khan will never face a puncher again, he is a coward.
