Simple: Floyd's goal is Pacquiao
If Floyd wins, he goes on and fight Pac.
If Shane wins, it will prevent Mosley from taking on Pac.
Floyd is thinking that he is smart but in reality this is a win/win scenario for Pac. If Floyd wins......then Pac (and Floyd) makes money. If Floyd loses....Pac is gonna laugh so HARD. :D
yep agree 100 percent
my opinion
floyd wants a revenge if he loses
floyd wants to give another beating if he wins
floyd might takehome more money in this fight
floyd doesnt want to make pac-mosley this year
floyd doesnt want a pac-pbf this year
He doesnt need to train as much, if he just wants to win a close decision.
And everybody wants a rematch then. Cashing twice and Mosley will be nearly 40 then, when he gets outpointed in the rematch.
Floyd wants a rematch cause he knows he could lose this fight. His nuthuggers would tell you different though. Only floyd knows the real reasons. None of this speculation means anything.
This is such a pointless thread. Everybody has rematch clauses. It's ridiculous how people try so hard to find anything and use it against Floyd. Find something better to do then bash the guy, give credit where credit is due.
To be honest, I think Floyd knows if Shane comes in at his best,he will lose to Shane. If the fight is close and exciting, and it probably will be, the rematch would be huge.It probably be as big as Pacquiao vs Mayweather was suppose to be.In that case, Floyd still comes out a winner. He'll get another huge pay day and if he wins, that sets up the trilogy. I personally think that Shane will be the last opponent for Floyd. I truly think he'll lose the first fight. Even if he manages to win the rematch, I can't see him beating Mosley twice in a row. There's nothing to be ashamed about losing to Shane Mosley. With his bank account intact along with his pride,he'll retire. Why would he risk fighting another top WW and lose? Then his legacy might take a serious hit. Then everyone would be saying he could never beat a true WW in his career. So Pacquiao/Mayweather will never happen in my opinion. Plus, there is no guarantee that Manny will get past Clottey. If so,can he beat a young fast fighter like Berto or even a much bigger Margarito? That's the route he would have to take in order to fight either Floyd or Shane. When the smoke all clears,Shane Mosley will be standing tall. By that point, he will have slipped a little and be on the downside. That will be a perfect time for Berto to fight him and then take over the WW division. It all makes sense to me.
LOLL, funny thing is this guy felt like a genius writing this but it's the dumbest shit I've read. Not saying Shane has no chance of beating Floyd but I think everyone's giving him too much of a chance. I have Floyd easily dominating in this fight.
Why does Floyd want an immediate rematch clause with Mosley but was adamant about no rematch during the pacquiao negotiations??? Just wondering.
Because he knows it's not going to be like playing basketball anymore.

Pacquiao has these options.......fight Marquez for the 3rd time but Marquez will demand Olympic style testing so that won't happen......He can fight Mayweather if he beats Mosley, but Mayweather will demand Olympic style testing so that won't happen.....he can't fight Mosley now, cause if mosley does happen to beat Floyd - rematch......so that leaves Plastercheato or Berto
If Shane KO's Floyd, I seriously doubt there would be a rematch.
I think rematch will only happen if Shane wins on the cards in a close fight.
9 times out of 10 when you are clearly the top fighter then you are going to want a rematch clause but in the Pac case they are both the cream of the crop so you wouldnt want something like that to hamstring you in the negotations for a rematch or not. Trust me, I bet Floyd had a rematch clause even for Baldomire
im not understanding what you're saying.
are you saying that floyd did in fact want an immediate rematch clause for pacquiao as well? Because there were several articles about floyd NOT wanting an immediate rematch in the stipulations.
Here is my question... Arum has mentioned about a possibility of Pac fighting Margarito... And, now that there is a rematch clause in this fight... Will it benefit Golden boy that Shane wins this fight?
