i think floyd can make 140.
he could have made the catchweight with jmm. he just didn't want to.
cutting weight is just not his thing. he doesn't like doing it.
funny you mention roy because i never considered him a natural 175 guy though he spent most of his career there.
i like to look at a guy's frame to judge where they really belong.
to me roy had a middleweight frame.
I'll just agree to disagree on this one, because (IMO) no way in hell does Floyd make 140 right now.
no he's not.
just like i don't consider floyd a welterweight.
i consider floyd more a natural 135 guy. pac to me is a natural 126 guy. just based on their frames.
just because they can compete with 147 guys and beat 147 guys doesn't mean they're really 147 guys.
floyd could make 140 with ease if he wants to. pac can probably still make 130 if he tries real hard.
I wouldn't say that. Floyd can't make any weight class lower than 147. Pac on the other hand can easily make 140 and 135. I can pull out number if you like but even as far back as 06, Pac has always stepped into the ring between 144-149. Its just back then he would cut weight and rehydrate back up to that weight vs. him not cutting weight and just staying that same size. So yes, while Pac's skills gets him by at 147, he is not a natural WW at all.
Matter of a fact this is similar to Roy winning at HW. Roy just stop cutting weight and lifted a little bit to come in at 193 or so for the Ruiz fight. I gaurantee that he naturally rehydrated to that weight anyway, but like Pac his talent made him successful in a class he didn't naturally belong in.
:nonono: a joke clottey is a world class fighter show a little respect its comments like that which make me question why i spend my time on this site full of fanboys who will discredit anything to make their fave fighter look better
And, that is really what it is... It is so much of a double standard... Cuz, if it was Floyd or P-Will fighting him... They would not been calling it a joke... If Floyd or P-Will would win... And, if they talk about there good wins. Clottey name would come up... Like it should... But, this double standard is killing me...
LAME.
Its funny how no one can criticize Pac fighting Clottey. Its a joke.

So your all for Pac fighting the LOSER of Mosley-Floyd.
What if the loser got robbed? I wouldn't mind seeing him fight the loser... And, that goes if Floyd losses... I still want to see all this 3 fighters fight each other... Different styles bring different fights... There is no triangle theories right? This are the 3 top WWs right now... You can make a case for either of them to be #1 right? So I have no problem with all 3 of them fighting each other... Because, all 3 styles would make good, intriguing fights with each other...
So let me get this straight:
Floyd fighting Marquez, who'd never fought above 135, at WW is not a joke, but Pac fighting Clottey, a tough top 5 ranked WW, is?
Wow, just wow. :WTF??:
Bro is nothing wrong with that... I wouldn't go as far as saying fighting a top 5 WW is a joke... But, again if that is how you feel then so be it... Is really nothing left to say... you know?
Just my thoughts on Clottey. He never wins fights and always loses. Thats all im saying.
What's so bad about fighting a top 5 WW in a class that you really don't belong? Also I doubt you were singing this same tune when there were talks about Clottey and Mosley facing off this past december or better yet when there were talks of Clottey being a possible opponent for Williams this past fall.
Just pointing out your hypocrisy.
Wait. So Pacs not a WW?
I said that Williams would beat the shit out of Clottey and that how can Paul be ducking Clottey a guy who never wins fights. Thats what I said.
I just want to see him fight Bradley at 140. Or Williams and Floyd at 147.
Whats wrong with that?

I actually agree fighting a top 5 WW is a joke... You are absolutely right...
You guys are obsessed with that. Clottey is a gate keeper with NO great wins. Hes famous for LOSING. Hes a loser. Who just lost to the guy Pac KO'd with ease.
That's what I'm curious about. Let's say Shane goes out a gives Floyd a close fight in which Floyd barely escapes. I doubt Floyd would do a rematch because he would have nothing to gain.
Pac could then fight Shane using the same angle Floyd used for fighting Marquez....the whole "Im facing the guy who really won the fight.
Don't get me wrong I want to see Pac vs Floyd because I feel Pac would win, but Im just curious as to how the clause affects different scenarios.
But, if that in the bold happens... Pac is a bitch...
And, that is what we all want to see... We want to see him lose...
I just want to see him fight Bradley at 140. Or Williams and Floyd at 147.

yeah so?
what if shane losses. floyd is gonna exercise the rematch clause too?
what's too stop pac-mosley from being made even if mosley losses?
it won't be a blockbuster fight because shane just lost but it's still a decent fight.
you act like GBP runs boxing or something.
pacquiao is not gonna get bullied in negotiations. he can't be forced to take a fight he doesn't want to.
delahoya learned this. hatton learned this. pacquiao showed it again in the mayweather negotiations.
the guy is hardheaded and frankly doesn't give a shit. the guy has an "emperor has no clothes" thing going on in his country.
you act like not getting a fight with mosley will force him to take whatever mayweather offers or something.
the guy can fight margarito and retire. will it be $40 mil. like with floyd? no.
will it matter. not really.
the guy's legacy is sealed. his finances as far as i know is good. he's set for life.
everything else extra is just gravy to him.

Please don't ever in your life compare the overrated Pacquiao to the great Mayweather... Floyd can not do no wrong... Floyd has plenty of options... I mean is not Floyd fault that Zab Judah was overrated... Is not Floyd fought that the Great Baldomir was the lineal champ, is not Floyd fault that Oscar was old... Is not Floyd fault that JMM was #2 best P4P.. How there you compare Pac against the all mighty Floyd...
LAME.
Its funny how no one can criticize Pac fighting Clottey. Its a joke.
Lol, damn, either way he loses.
If he fights PWill, he gets his ass kicked. If he fights Mayweather he gets completely outskilled.
It's a loss either way. :nonono:
And, that is what we all want to see... We want to see him lose...
shut up.
we should be disgusted he's fighting clottey's?
were you disgusted when floyd was fighting a shot sharmba mitchell , a zab judah that just got whooped , carlos freaking baldomir and a featherweight marquez?
give me a break.
people wouldn't even be talking crap about floyd if instead of retiring he had been fighting top 5 147 guys like clottey.
