Glad to see the fight finally signed, but shouldn't Shane be taking a tuneup? Seeing as how he hasn't fought in over a year, which will be 16 months by the time of the fight.
He is gonna lose there anyway. I really am not seeing him in anything more then a good but losing effort. ITs just a big payday for him and a name for mayweather.
lol at him being just a "Name"? So tell me a bigger fight that can be made other then the Pac fight?
He's been training to fight tomorrow.
Thats the #1 reason why I dont think its that big of a deal. He didnt have a fight but Berto cancled so late that Shane did everything he wouldve done for a fight. Its not like he's been just sitting around. He went through a full fledge training camp, a ton of sparring, and so on. He will be sharp. Its just like if JMM cancled on Floyd at the last second. Floyd still wouldve went through a whole camp, sparring, and wouldve still been sharp because of it. Shane is also not fighting someone like Pac who has been super active. By fight night Floyd will have had 1 fight in 2 and a half years and most people try to discredit that and say it was a glorified sparring match. Or you can say that he will have only had 2 fights in 3 years. He's been crazy inactive but his name pops so much that people dont even realize it
He's been training to fight tomorrow.Just your head and really think...
There are more negative than positives by having a tune-up fight. He can have all the tune-ups he wants in training camp by sparring.
You don't have three training camps in a few months.
He trained for Berto and now he's training for Mayweather. You want him to stop training for Mayweather and train for a tune-up fight?
What if he gets injured during his tune-up fight? What if he gets a nasty cut during the fight? What if he looks extremely slow? You don't risk millions of dollars by having him fight a couple of months before his biggest fight of his career. He's not going to risk his biggest payday of his life for a tune-up fight.
You don't think 16 months is too long between fights for a guy 38 years old?No, because Mayweather fought one time since 2007.
Mosley is going to be fine. You expect him to have two fights and two training camps in a few months?
That's such a dumb question.
He's been waiting a fukkin year, and has fought 45 plus fights.
Would you recommedn Jesse Felciano to bore us while he gets sharp?
Or perhaps maybe killer sparring partners, which GBP could get in a heartbeat.

Agreed completely and I'm tired of reading it.

How many times has Money fought in the last two years? Mayweather would never approve of Mosley fighting before his fight because of two reasons. Mosley is going to cost him and GBP millions if he loses, or looks bad, and he has a chance of getting hurt.
What if he gets hurt in his tune-up fight? What if he looks horrible in his tune-up fight? He can get all the practice he needs sparring in training camp.

Why would he take a tune up when he the fight is three months away? His trainer doesn't have a problem with it and neither does he. It's not like Mayweather has been active either. 12 rounds in 2 years. To me, this is just an early excuse if Mosley loses..
