Out of 40 fights only 6 of them have been 147 or higher. You guys need to realize that Floyd has been a World Champion since he was 21 years old. Thats 12 years kiddies. Yup 12 Years as a World Champion.
Hes been putting in work a long ass time.Went through 5 Weight Classes, Undefeated.
Mayweather ATG.
He said Mayweather was the easiest out of him, Cotto, and Shane but then said Mayweather was a whole different ball game and he needed more time (at least 10 weeks) to prepare for Mayweather but only 8 for Cotto? C'mon..
Yeah from being on boxing scene the posters would have you think hes Micky Ward.
Bitch Pacquiao and Mayweather both moved on before Berto pulled out. Mayweather was looking at Campbell, Malignaggi, and Cintron. Williams was there and never mentioned. :bottle:
In all honesty I believe it was to hype an even bigger event later this year.
WBO/WBA unification (assuming both win next matches)
p4p championship
lineal championship (with history made if Pac wins 5th)
Extra time to promote.
I didn't say Mayweather ducked Williams. I quoted you where you said when did he have the opportunity to fight him. And yes that goes for Pac as well. If Pac wouldn't fight Yuri bc of he's too tall I doubt he'd fight Williams.
Thats bullshit. Yuri is one inch taller then Oscar and Oscar has a longer reach.
He defended it against Hatton.
If he beats Shane hes the WW Champion.
Wow, he defended it against a jrWW...who is now considered an over-hyped club fighter.
If he beats Shane we are in full agreement and all we'll need is a inification bout between him and Pac for WW dominance, P4P champ and potentially Pac's 5th lineal championship...gee no wonder the fight didn't go through in March...look at how big Pac/May can be!

Just like he was there for Pac to fight March 13th correct? So Pac ducked him too?
Right, before Berto pulled out he had the oppurtunity to fight Williams but Williams was never mentioned. You asked when did he have the opportunity genius....
Before Berto pulled out he was in talks to fight PACMAN. Clown.
When the Pac fight failed he went looking for Plan B's. Then Shane came availible and Floyd is fighting him.
All I gotta say is beating a lineal champ like Baldo and keeping that title by not defending it is an embarrasment to the meaning of Lineal Champ. While FLoyd vacated the title Mosley, Margorito, Cotto, Williams and even Clottey were fighting each other to earn it. Coming out of retirement doesn't earn back that title, especially since he's never fought ANY of the contenders.
He defended it against Hatton.

This was before Berto pulled out Genius.
And your posting all these crap articles.
Who did he duck?
He ducked Mosley remember? Mayweather had a tooth ache... oh shit that was Mosley. No wait Mosley's been calling Mayweather since he was at 130lbs... wrong again, that's Mayweather. :nonono:
Tua who should/could he have fought. (Minus- Top Rank fighters because the Arum factor)
Fact is he was the WW Champion thats all Im arguing to Mad Sweeney because he doesnt seem to grasp the concept of how Lineal works.

Its the same story as Foreman back in the 90's. Win lineal then choose not to defend it against quality opponents.
-Mosley
We'll cut him slack since they're fighting now but at that time...hmmmm
What do you mean at the time??
You wanted him to fight Mosley the next night?
Did you want Floyd to try and fight Shane after JMM or fight Pac?
You cant have it both ways.
the only "case" you could make is that he ducked margarito which is completely false. he fought baldomir for the ww title and more money. This is a no brainer.
Arum threw that term out there when this happened and all the haters latched onto it.
Truth is Cotto, Williams, Mosley weren't even targets at that point. Williams is being thrown out becuse he's a fighter that people THINK can beat mayweather so they add him to the list. Mosley was fighting Vargas 2x in 2006 and Vargas and was just establishing his carrer at that point...Cotto was too green and Arum didn't let him to near Mayweather.
whatever.
there's a large hole missing in his resume for a minute there.
and i'm not talking about the retirement.

Thats what Im saying. Mad Sweeney said Floyd wasnt the WW Champion. Hes wrong.
Never said he wasn't a WW champion. Only argued the quality of the opposition he won that championship and defenses.
Look, I agree that Floyd is probably the most skilled and talented boxer of our generation and I give him 100% credit for what he did in the first 6 years of his career. However, the past 5 have left alot to be desired especially considering how damn good he is.
