5 YEARS AGO HE WOULD HAVE BEAT MAYWEATHER...
I MEAN I HAD IT 8 ROUNDS TO 4 BUT HONESTLY I THOUGHT IT WOULD END UP A SPLIT BEFORE THE FIGHT HAPPENED...
SO NOW I THINK MAYWEATHER SHOULD FIGHT PAUL WILLIAMS OR KENNLY PAVLIK SERIOUSLY.. IF HE WANTS TO BE A GREAT HE HAS TOO...
AND HE SHOULD CANCEL THIS CINTRON FIGHT.. EVEN THOUGH IT'S A GOOD FIGHT TO FOLLOW TONIGHTS WIN OVER MOSELY..
AN OLD MOSELY... A SLOW MOSELY.. A MOSELY THAT WOULD HAVE WON EASILY 5 YEARS AGO.

YOU DO KNOW THIS POST IS FROM THE FUTURE RIGHT... LIKE ATER FLOYD WINS AND SOME PEOPLE NEED EXCUSES FOR WHY MOSELY LOST..!!
do you realize im acting as if the fight happene aready... when it hasn't....
Floyd will win UD.
Yes I do realize you're being hypothetical. My question still stands. Why do people come on here bitching about whether or not Floyd gets credit for fights? You as a sensible boxing fan will give him his due for beating Shane Mosley. That's all that should matter mate. Why do you care what anyone else says? Everyday people are on here crying their eyes out on why the world doesn't love Floyd. It's stupid and it's tired.
Do you people just come on here looking for things to bitch about?

Excuses will come should Mayweather win, you should all expect that. When it's his time to be judged accordingly after he retires officially, he will get the credit he deserved, win or lose.

Some bitches will never be happy. First he "had to fight Mosley", so when it looks like he'll fight Mosley, he gets no credit from those same bitches.
Haters gonna hate. No matter what.
Hell yeah they gon hate thats why when shane get his ass Knocked out they aint gon have shit to say

Shane is gon show up for this fight but floys REALLY needs a knockout if he wants any credit fir this win, a UD aint gonna do it, floyd needs to retire shane mosley:boxing:
The only way boxing writers and fans would give Floyd credit is if the fight is somewhat competitive.
Then they'd say Floyd is slipping and slowing down because a 38 yr Mosley kept it competitive.
That's about as close to the reality as you can get.
lol, but mosely is getting older. look how much heat Pac got after crushing DLH.
Regardless though, Mosely's current standing is very good. so we will have to see.
heat?... pac recieved heat for beating DLH???
You must be talking about the heat made from the constant blowjobs he was recieving from everyone for beating DLH:nono:... I understand now.
fair comment - Mosley was def the bigger name at the time (99).... I'd say they were about even the second time (05)...
I agree with you - i dont either ducked... pursued bigger paydays? yes... but ducked ?? I'd argue for either Floyd or Mosely if someone sed that 1 ducked the other.
I find it ironic tho that all the ducking accusations land soley at Floyd's feet...
Personally I'm thrilled this fight is getting made and I actually see it as a more dangerous fight for Floyd than any other out there.
IF Floyd can get past Mosley, then Pac - he goes straight into ATG category imo.
I agree with much of what you said, especially the part about the ducking. I don't think either one really ducked each other. Mosley may have been better known in 1999, but Mayweather was actually making more money at the time and probably would have beaten Mosley. Mosley didn't get his first $1 million payday until his first fight at welterweight against Wilfredo Rivera. Fighting Mayweather in 1999 didn't make financial sense for Mosley because, if he had lost, he would have never gotten the fight against Oscar. Mosley didn't want anything to do with Mayweather until after Floyd beat Oscar and become a financial superstar. By then, Floyd didn't want to give him a payday since Mosley had refused to fight him twice.
I am also glad the fight is finally happening.

come on now,if floyd dont fight him then hes a chicken but if he fights and beats him then hes too old, same old bollocks again and again
To be fair, Floyd was calling out everyone from Winky Wright to Mosley, to Oscar, etc. But I don't think either guy was ducking the other more than the time not being exactly right. By 2000, Mosley was already in his 1st mega fight against Oscar, had a rematch, and went on to bigger things. Floyd was still a Lightweight by the time Mosley was going to 154lbs and the fights on his radar were Casamayor, Tzsu, Gatti, etc. Adding the fact that Mosley took a few Ls and ended up coming back and Mayweather making a name for himself during that timeframe...2010 is when we'll finally see the fight.

Funny how some Floyd fans said Cotto beating Mosley wasn't good enough in November 07, but Floyd ends up fighting him in May 2010 and it's supposed to be a huge fight.
I think Floyd is going to beat him either way. Just saying.
Stupid reasoning. Things change. If he's good enough to beat the ever living shit out of Antonio Margarito in 2009 he's one of the best welterweights around. It's not Floyd's fault there's no Sugar Ray Leonard or Tommy Hearns floating about.
just like manny would have fought a healthy delahoya or cotto without makin em lose weight first aka weight draining.
Cotto wasn't weight drained bruh...he simply got beat. Oscar was the fool who made the fight at 147, wasn't Manny's fault.
come on man... i actually thought u were gonna educate me with your vid
i could say Manny "pretended" he wanted to fight Mayweather too.... but that wud just be suposition....
you cud say Pac ducked Mosley... but again just suposition.
You said Floyd wud duck a prime Mosley - i just pointed out that he called out Mosley when the boy was hot.... and sent u the clip to prove it
allow the fairytales... spit me some facts... i dont mind gettin skoold if its real talk

Don't get it twisted, this "maybe" would've been a much more competitive fight years ago, but I think people need to step back and realize this is also going to be the toughest fight of Floyd's career, more than the "Oscar" fight. Mosley is mad resilient even at 38 and he's a banger who knows how to box. Does he box better than Mayweather? Nah of course not, but he doesn't have to be the better "Boxer" to beat Floyd. Though technically, Floyd looked great against JMM, Mosley is a completely different can of worms.
Now, some say being Cotto outboxed Mosley to a close decision, then Floyd should win with flying colors, right? Wrong. The reason why Cotto did good in that fight was because that was Cotto's coming out in the sense of people really seeing his Boxing ability and Mosley preparing for a slugger and still making a fight out of it. As great of a counter puncher / defense minded fighter Floyd is, Mosley always seems to bring the fight out of people no matter the style. So to me, it's going to be interesting to see how Floyd handles Mosley's pressure and output along with how well he can take Mosley's punches throughout the course of the fight. With Mosley, it's a battle with Father time, being patient and selecting your shots, and not to swarm Floyd.
I'm slightly leaning towards Floyd, but man...you'd be crazy not to give Mosley one hell of a shot...even a toss up.
