In an audio interview with 8countnews . com's Brad Cooney, Emmanuel Steward weighed Manny Pacman Pacquiao's career and said he considers him a top five All-Time Great.

Agreed, this is what I've been trying to say here. No one can say that Steward doesn't know his boxing though.
He is biased sometimes, but when he is, he's biased for HIS GUYS. He hasn't trained Pac, and has even expressed a desire to train Cotto for their fight.
Fact is, Steward has always played devil's advocate when he covers Pac's fights. Given that, and the given that he trained legends like Chavez, Hearns, Tyson, Lewis, etc. and having analyzed other greats from front row, him saying that Pac is one of the 5 greatest fighters of all time is significant.
Then again, no one is saying that his word is canon.
Steward knows boxing, but he is also biased and known to say stupid shit.
Like that Andy Lee will be on of the great middleweight champions of all time.

I won't say any number where I feel Manny should belong.
I'll just post some facts, which I know most if not ALL
people here know, but prefer to neglect because of hate
rather than welcome it as fair as possible.....

That is not accurate.
Historically, Manny has only won titles in five weight divisions (still an amazing feat). The Ring magazine title, which was created in 2002, is where Manny won hs "titles" at 126 and 140. However, it is not fair or logical to give use this seven year old "title" that is awarded by a magazine when looking back and comparing Manny to other fighters in the past, who often won titles from sanctioning bodies of when there was only one title per weight division.
That statement would work if it wasn't Emmanuel Steward we are talking about.

Top 40 ATG is more like it.
His current run is one of the best of all-time.
Thats not an insult. Boxing has such a large stable of great fighters to even be considered in the top 100 is incredible.
Though Manny stewards opinon dosen't mean much to me.
How's the Great Andy Lee doing?
pac at worst should be top 5 atg. the only boxer to win 7 championship belt in a 7 weight class and the only boxer to get a 4 lineal belt.
He's amazing!!! Nobody was ever as dominating as he went up in weight classes. Not only that he won in those 7 wt classes but the way he beats up his top opponents at those weight classes. Sasakul's 1st Ko loss, Ledwaba's dominating KO, MAB & EM annihilation, Diaz beatdown, Hatton's 1 punch KO of the year, DLH & Cotto mugging & out pointing a master boxer JMM.
Ali
SRR
Tyson
SRL
Joe Louis
there... just five right off the top that are higher ATG than Manny. This is getting out of hand. I know people's memories are short and selective, but you do the whole sport of boxing a dishonor by forgetting its greats, and prematurely raising the now, over the then.
STEWART knows was up.
He said before TAYLOR HOPKINS fight that HOPKINS aint all time great.
And TAYLOR beat HOPKINS easy.
No, to both.
Emanuel Steward didn't say that. Stop ****ing lying.
you saying Steward was paid to say Pac is top 5 atg?hell no, ive heard steward say stupid shit before. just sayin id have to pay him to make a request for the sake of getting a kick out of that one puppet on here.
Pacquiao is not a top 5 ATG. I doubt he could beat anyone in Oscar's era, nor do I believe he can beat anyone in the Fab 4 era.
Oh, you want to talk lightweight and lower? If Pacquiao had problems fighting with the skill of JMM. How the **** would he fair against Alexis Arguello? Camacho? Prime JCC?
Pacquiao is good but dont start getting all crazy. Like Roger Mayweather said... "You don't know shit 'bout boxin."

Yep. I don't think there is even one definitive ATG list that all experts agree on. But as with every convention, ATG lists are a sort of accepted by and among boxing experts.
There is no consensus yet on how great Pac has become based on his achievements. Other experts -- like Bert Sugar -- do not quite share Steward's opinion of Pac. Not yet, anyway.
Steward's is just one opinion, and he doesn't even argue that it is sacrosanct. But I also think we should acknowledge his opinions as among those that matter.
