pac ducked floyd......
cotto and margarito BOTH are coming off TKO losses......
shane has a fight in 2 weeks, in which he'll lose.......
paul williams IS the fight i wanna see though, but like i said, quit bitching! no opponent has been named yet......
you know the ppl that are miserable, and have no lives, b/c they come on here and complain about the same shit everyday.... how can you guys make thread after thread, about shit that hasn't even happened yet?
i don't have to defend floyd's next choice of opponent, b/c i UNDERSTAND he will choose a fighter, based on the amount of money he'll bring to the table. i understand that, so i need not defend floyd, nor complain about it either.
like campbell said yesterday, HE HAS NOT spoken to anybody in camp mayweather, he's heard his name circulating, but ONLY FLOYD knows who he's fighting next.....so until FLOYD makes that announcement, quit bitching so goddam much, ladies!
JAT
Margarito
Cotto
Shane
Paul
Manny
Floyd could have fought them all, seeing as hes the "face of the sport and boxings cash cow".
Guess what the common denominator is in those fights not happening?
Its not the timing, or a date, or a money issue,
its Floyd.
He never wanted to fight those guys.
Instead, he chose Baldomir, Judah, Hatton, DLH, Marquez.
Boxing history is always going to side with those of us who know Floyd ducked these fighters, not the other way around. The reason?
All of those guys fought eachother in the same time span that Mayweather was a welterweight.:bounce:
If Floyd wants to fight a Light Welter, e.g. Bradley then he should drop to 140lbs for the fight. If you wanna fight at 147....fight a welterweight, pretty much anyone in the top 10. Hell we know its a tune up fight anyway as there isnt much else available. Just dont drag smaller fighters up to fight at welterweight when u could fight a genuine welterweight. It makes you look like a coward
This has to be lamest excuse I've ever heard. To be honest, I don't really buy the "Hopkins fought smaller fighters" crap but God that's an awful defense.
LOL wow you must of not read the rest of the Post. I Clearly was stating that The opponents Hopkins fought Came to HIS WEIGHT and were Champions. Hopkins fought every Just ABOUT every BIG name out there from 160-175
which is
Jones Jr.
Tarver
Johnson
Winky
Trinidad
De La Hoya
Calzaghe
Pavlik
Taylor
Joppy
Floyd is in the MOst DEEPEST DIVISION in BOXING and he hasn't fought none of the top WW.
Cotto
Pacquiao
Margarito
Mosley
Berto
Williams
or even freakin Quitanna or Cintron would be better then Mathew Hatton or Nate Campbell.
What i was trying to prove was that the Lower weight classes have more BIG NAMES then the Middleweight classes. SO :wtf1: and read my whole damn post next time.
end of your argument right there...both hatton AND marquez CALLED out floyd, so by your logic, it was ok for hopkins to fight smaller guys b/c they called him out, is should be the same for mayweather.....
when i read contradictory posts, like yours, i realize i'm dealing with a complete hater, so i'll just leave it at that......
life is bigger than floyd mayweather....stop sipping that haterade, and you'll feel a lot better about yourself....
:nonono:
If you read i said Hopkins fought just about every BIG NAME fighter or p4p fighter that was from 160-175. Floyd is in the MOST DEEP division in boxing and STILL hasn't fought one of the big name guys. SO SUCK ON THAT BITCH
who do you suggest he should fight..starting this thread, you must have someone in mind..what welter do yo think he should face?
Paul Williams or wait for Mosley-Berto. It's really not that hard.
Look, I was a big time Oscar De La Hoya HATER back in the 90's, but guess what, when the hardcore fans and media got tired of his BULLSHIT, he was forced to face the tops guys at 147.
He fought Ike Quartey, Oba Carr and Felix Trinidad in a row. In today's boxing landscape that would be equivalent to Mayweather fighting Paul Williams, Luis Collazo and Manny Pacquiao in a row. Would Floyd do that? I seriously doubt it.
After DLH fought those three, he took a tuneup (coley, i believe) and then fought Shane Mosley.
Oscar might've been a fruitcake and all, but when the fans SPOKE he LISTENED, unlike Floyd "i'm gonna cry man tears if you question my resume" Mayweather.
I was and still am a fan of Floyd, but it's dwindling... BY THE DAY!
Pac fighting Clottey is a challenge. I don't care if he's flat footed, etc... Clottey is a proven THREAT at 147 and that's enough to keep most fans happy, so for that PAC is the man.
Mayweather on the other hand is trying to make fights with Matthew Hatton and Nate Campbell? Where they do that at? This is typical FUK BOY behaviour and Floyd needs to man up and take a fight with a real threat: PAUL WILLIAMS!
And for all you guys crying about size, STFU! Floyd had even more of a size advantage over Marquez than Paul WIlliams has on Floyd.
It's time to man up or the people will FLOYDCOTT his ass right out of the sport.
you should be bristling right now, pactard....
be happy the fight was cancelled, b/c you would've been doubling up my e-points! :D
Right. The midget is about to fight a guy who'll come in about 20 lbs. bigger at Pac's highest fighting weight, a top 5 WW who beat up Judah and Corrales the way Floyd beat up his girlfriends.
All this while the GOAT lines up a real Murderer's Row: Nate, Matthew Hatton, Saul Alvarez, Paulie the Guido. Real tough ATGs right there. Real exciting stuff.
No wonder you flomos are jumping up in joy. At least he's undefeated, right?
Has Bradley beaten a legitimate welterweight? Has he had a title at welterweight at least?
Paul Williams has done both. If he stayed at welter without moving up he would never fight because no one wants him.
take3::
um, okay so what WELTER should Floyd face..WELTER..
"Easy fight, easy work, probably easier than the Marquez fight"
My ass.
Well since Floyd appears to be too afraid to even get in the ring with Pac, I guess that's gotta be easier than the JMM fight.
Who ducked who, flomo.
Oh yeah, the xylocaine user needs a level playing field. Right.
you should be bristling right now, pactard....
be happy the fight was cancelled, b/c you would've been doubling up my e-points! :D
The Difference between Floyd and Hopkins is the so called SMALLER Opponents (you guys bash Hopkins for) CHALLENGED Hopkins and Floyd Challenges the Smaller Opponents.
Trinidad was champion when he faced Hopkins. He was going to move up to middleweight sooner or later. Trinidad was the Favorite.
De La Hoya was a champion when he faced Hopkins even tho he lost in many minds to Sturm, but Hopkins wanted that belt.
Pavlik Challenged Hopkins because he thought he would be able to knock him out because the Calzaghe fight was ugly and he looked slower then usually. Most had Pavlik winning then when he loses everybody says Pavlik was overrated or to small for Hopkins when he is an inch taller and in a couple of years he will probably be fighting Super Middleweight or Light Heavyweight.
Winky Wright also called out Hopkins and this fight was probably a little to much for Winky but i dont think this is a GREAT win but an OKAY win. But if the fight was at 160 it would get some more credit for Hopkins BUT it would be the same result IMO. it would still be a Dirty Boxing fight that it was. And Hopkins would beat Winky 10/10 the same way he beat him, and in his prime would beat Winky more comfortably.
Hopkins fought just about every BIG NAME fighter from 160-175.
but in the LOWER weight classes there are MORE big names then the higher weights.
The Thing with Mayweather is he MAKES
Marquez come up, Marquez did call him out but so did Mosley, Williams, Cotto, Margarito, etc.
Hatton come up when Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, etc. also called him out.
And now will make Alexander, Campbell, Bradley move up when he could fight maybe Quitana, Mosley-Berto winner, Williams or ANY top 10 WW. not FREAKIN Mathew hatton.

you make valid points but Cotto never ever called Mayweather out. just helping out...

Bradley is good with me but nobody else.
If he fights Paul Williams.. I will rock a Joe Calzaghe avatar and a Tarver, Johnson, and Danny Green Sig for 3 months.
and he knows its not against Pac, Cotto, Shane, Williams or Margarito.
Why you cry?
I know, I know, its getting harder and harder as the weeks go by to defend Floyd.
Pullcounter used to be exactly like you cats. He was as staunch a supporter as there ever was for Floyd.
Then he realized what we were telling him was true.
Floyd is a fraud.
pac ducked floyd......
cotto and margarito BOTH are coming off TKO losses......

you make no sense..you want Floyd to face WELTERS..then you suggest Paul Williams..um, is he a welter?..Paul facing Floyd, would be the exact thing of Floyd facing Bradley..so its a promblem for Floyd to face Bradley..but not for Paul to face Floyd?..when its the same thing..lmao
hey..maybe they can meet halfway at Pacweight
lol@pacweight:You_Rock_
Sure is,
a nice little streak of,
not making weight,
getting a draw he didn't deserve,
quitting in a fight,
yup, nice little streak of doing absolutely nothing.
i gotta agree with tortilla butt here... quitana hasn't done crap but neither has campbell since diaz... This is my list of fighters I would be happy seeing him fight.
Bradley- one of the most skilled fighters and would be a test of two great skilled fighters
Cotto- would love to see Cotto get one good last payday and if he has anything left in the tank to give PBF fits
Mosley- because he needs to be put into retirement and I would love to see PBF put to the ultimate test from ATG
Khan- would love to travel to UK and witness the fight
Berto- see how good young berto really is compared to ATG
Williams- how his defense would be able to hold up 100 punches/rd and if pwill would be able to even get to floyd and hurt him
Martinez- if PBF could put on a clinic against one of the best technical fighters
Collazo- someone that would look good on his resume
Cintron- love to see pbf dismantle him from head to toe
Im sure u guys will disagree, but this is how I feel about each fight
