I don't understand Jermain Taylor's logic, do you?

While a lot of you expected Taylor to withdraw from the Super Six after his devastating KO loss to Abraham, I did not. Taylor took me by surprise with this announcement that he is withdrawing. Here's my thinking. I'm Jermain Taylor, coming off 2 devastating KOs in the last few years, and I'm offered the oppurtunity to take part in Showtime's Super Six tournament. Going into this, wouldn't I at least acknowledge the notion that I could be KTFO again? And if I did, would I still join the tournament? Taylor had to know facing Abraham, Ward, and Kessler, he had a good chance to get KTFO, so this brings up my main question. If Taylor knew he had a chance to get KTFO, why did he join the tourney to begin with? After he was KOed by Abraham, most saw him withdrawing, but I didn't, because it just didn't make any logical sense to me that a guy who's been KOed brutally before wouldn't acknowledge the chances of it happening again, and sign up to participate in a tourney where his chances of getting KOed again were high. So why did Taylor sign up for this if he was going to withdraw after a KO loss, knowing that the chances of that happening were there? I like Taylor, and appreciate the class he's shown throughout the years, but something upstairs just isn't right. I've said before I think he's a borderline "dumb" fighter, and it seems his career choices are bordering on "dumb" as well. Again, I have nothing but respect, but his logic makes no sense.
