For making the first defense of his title in a title unification bout against Juan Urango. Unlike some of the so-called champions today, this guy is trying to prove where he's at.
He's a young relatively unknown champ getting his name out there. This is a good way to do it, if you hold all the belts the others have no choice but to fight you.
Real big ups to the hometown kid! This fight is the first step to getting even bigger fights at 140....and I can't wait for Dev to fight Khan! Bring it to the Lou and we will sell it out!
Oh yea!!! :boxing:
Im happy for Dev, he's one of my favorite fighters right now, but i will reserve judgment on Khan until i find out just who the fuc he's fighting. :boxing:

It is pretty sad that we have got to the point where a champion is congratulated for taking on his obligatory mandatory challengers. That is how it is MEANT to be, a champion fights his mandatory challengers and then earns the right to make fights. For many boxers holding a world title is very important for them and they won't give it up without a fight that is how it is MEANT to be because that way the cream rises to the top which makes boxing healthy. Even the mandatory concept is weakened in todays world as there are so many governing bodies. In the old days where there was just one champion in each weight division no one would give up their title to avoid a mandatory. If they did they would be shamed and ridiculed and would jeopardise their chance of getting another title shot.Being champion MEANT something. In today's world fans have been brain washed into accepting and excusing duckers and the status as champion has been diluted.. The bottom line is a ducker is a ducker and being one should not seem acceptable to anyone including the fans of the ducker.

Unless he fight Bradley, Hatton or Maidana, I'm not impressed.
