One fought, and beat everyone including top 10 ATGS while he was shot, the other has Anturro Gatti and Zab Judah in his 5 best wins.
i dont think of heavyweights to highly so i do think floyd, chavez, toney, duran, sweet pea, hopkins, finto lopez, ray leanord, robinson, marquez, morales, pac and many others are p4p more skilled and better fighters than heavyweights which includes ali
but what makes ali great in my opinion is that he was willing to step in the ring and fight best from his division and not bait highly rated light heavy to heavyweight fights and claim he is the greatest of all time.
unlike floyd who has not fought a rated welter weight since late 2006
its 2010 people. floyd fans, pac surely deserves the blame for the fight not happening and ducking random blood test. pac has no logical excuse for not taking random blood test.
but i repeat floyd critism of being a cherry picker was right fully earned since he has not fought a rated welter weight since late 2006.
If mayweather fought and defeated mosley pac cotto and williams he STILL would not be greater than Ali. No fighter in this era will be greater than Ali. Thats not a realistic standard to hold someone to.
Undefeated doesn't mean shit man, especially for Floyd. Ali fought the best heavyweights in the best era of heavyweights. Look at Floyd, dude doesn't even want to fight some of the best welterweights around, forget about THE best.
my thoughts exactly, any good fighter can go undefeated if they're not willing to fight the guys that may give them a loss. cotto beat mosley and could have retired undefeated, like floyd, instead he fought the best WW challenger in the world at the time. and then clottey who was easily a top 5, and then manny. thats how a true champion goes about his career.
You mean Ali with 5 losses? The guy who went life and death with frazier and was given a gift against Norton?
Lmao....
there's only room for one sarcastic poster in this thread, so stay......no seriously, im the sarcastic guy
Only thing you could argue is that Floyd may be a more complete fighter(well not really anymore at 147 since he doesn't throw combos) but who's beaten who isn't even close at all...its laughable
Hatton, Castillo, Corrales, Oscar? None of those guys match up to Earnie Shavers one of Alis weaker opponents, which says a lot.[/QUOTE
yo treu
Gatti, Judah and Baldomir dont measure up to Ali's competition, even the average ones like Shavers, Cooper, he didn't duck anyone he fought everyone when the heavyweight division was the best division at a time wen it had the best competition it had ever. If floyd was in ali's shoes, that means he never would have got in the ring with Foreman
mayweather beat ricky hatton, who has ali beaten as good as him?
exactly
ricky hatton is a light welterweight who takes risks in the selection of his fights, unlike a certain mayweather.
damn thats a weak ass list TBH.. I think I would have cotto over mayweather in terms of resume..
me too, mayweather may have the potential to be considered an all time great like ali, but so far he has shown that he doesn't have the ball's to prove it. not even close. he could have cleaned out an all time great division of opponents if he wanted to, instead he beat hatton at 147 and said he had nothing else to prove, than came back and fought a lightweight at a catch weight that he didn't even bother making.

is floyd undefeated?
is ali undefeated?

Ali's resumé is pretty much unbelievable.
The guy comes back after a three year forced hiatus and steps straight into the ring with Jerry Quarry.
Ali is boxing.
what kinda BS bait thread is this/
who even compares them to begin with...dumb question...
that was a different ERA//the real question should be "Does anyone actually think Pac is greater than Ali"..since a ton of Pac STANS would swear he is!
