Yet a little Asian man shows up and starts whooping their fighters asses. He, unlike the above has never been been involved in a steroid scandal or convicted of rape. And unlike his accuser Floyd Mayweather Sr has never peddled drugs.
BUT HE IS ACCUSED BY US BOXERS, SUBJECTED TO DEMANDS FOR MAJOR SCALE DRUG TESTS (AIMED DIRECTLY AT HIM), AND HATED BY LARGE NUMBERS OF US BOXING FANS.
WHY?
Afraid and threatened by the idea that a little Asian man is better than you? Can't bear to see his respect, admiration and fandom grow in the mainstream public's eyes while your own fighters struggle for popularity? Eating you up so much that you have to TAKE HIM DOWN by unproven speculative ACCUSATIONS.
BULLIES.
As for this shit being about ethnicity, colour, race or whatever...I just don't get it. I thought (the utmost extremist) soccer fans were stupid but this surpasses it with a huge margin.
Oh yeah, cos racism doesn't exist does it
You are missing the point. Sure more drug testing would be great.
But he is being SINGLED OUT from the crowd.
Manny Pacquiao is a multi millionaire athlete that is loved in the U.S. He's certainly not being bullied. It was his choice to walk away from the fight, because at the end of the day, the drug testing was a component of negotiations; he's not being forced to do anything. It is also true that because of Mayweather's demand that some think that random blood testing across the board would be a good idea. I don't see how that specifically is "bullying", since all would be subjected.
Pacquiao has been great for boxing. To many he's a hero. To others he's too good to be true. Nevertheless, it's hard to not respect the guy and his performances even if you really don't care for him; however, what does any of that have to do with improving the sport of boxing with random blood testing.
Boxing has great athletes that are subjected to some real bullshit: asshole promoters, bullshit catchweights, 500 organizations, drug abuse. What is wrong with taking care of one of things that is taking away from boxing.
you must not have read all the other site 80% think this he just so floyd can get out of fight. even people on espn are saying this.
The polls are able to be debated though too. Mainly because its easy to abuse them, and have non americans vote in them as well. The fact of the matter is most everyone I've talked to who knows anything about boxing be it hardcore to casual feels Pac has something to hide. I've said it before. Pac's rep is taking a huge hit from this because he won't do the random tests.
Side note about the random testing..... May wanted up to within 48 hours of the fight... though the question I still have is it won't necessarily be within 48 hours but the window is just there. Which means pac might not even have to take tests up to that point seeing as their random... though can someone post to prove me wrong on this saying he would have a set one at that time frame?
it's a race issue.
people in general only think asians are good at math, playing the violin, and modding civics and integras, bootlegging movies and italian clothing and watches.
they can't believe an asian dude is this good at boxing.
if pac was black, no one would be accusing him of steroids.
So that's your argument: Throwing an "Amir Khan" card...
Oh please. You try to play the victim's role now?

Well, you have it here first, folks. Pullcounter told us what's what, so it must be true

I see your point! Pacman is so hated by the flomos and some boxing fans, even before this drug test fiasco (this is just another ammo on their arsenal) that I have to scratch my head where the hate is coming from! The guy just want to entertain us all with his fights!
You contradict yourself so many times in multiple threads and even in your own replies so many times that it isn't even funny.
"I see your point!".....Why doesn't that surprise me...
Whoever gave you a carrot for a brain must be shaking his head.

yep, so much that pacs legacy and career is taking a hit from not accepting random testing.
there goes your theory

most amreican are on pac side.
Don't be jealous because WE AMERICANS live in the greatest country in the world and our passed boxing greats will NEVER be topped by outsiders. No chance in hell, buddy. lol And what makes you look even more stupid is how you say Pac is whooping our fighters asses. He's only beat an old weight drained De La Hoya. Most of the other guys he beat were Mexican. Let Pac fight Americas best, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and you people will see what Americas best is all about. But you will never see that happen because Manny is running like a little bitttch. Have a nice day.
:haha::haha::haha:

LOL Pacquiao ducked all of the slick American fighters. I dont think he has fought one yet to be honest.
calzaghe ducked all the elite prime fighters and floyd has ducked all the fighters fullstop.

You lost me. I'm not against the testing. I am sure he will take the test if they were taken now, yes, today, or any day that is convenient to the proper authorities. The other is during the training leading to the fight. These are separate issues. And you're confusing the two.
I do not think I am confusing them. Given the public pressure he is under I think he should submit to tests now and during training, up to and including the day of the fight. If he is clean then he can (and probably should) level both barrels at his accusers. I do not think he should sue, though, as I do not believe the statements by the Mayweathers rise to the level of malicious intent. Those are judgment calls, though. Certainly clean results would ruin the reputations of everyone else and Manny would probably be celebrated (win or lose) the world over for his grace in dealing with all of this. Right now, though, I do not think he is handling it as well as he should.
This is quite a sensitive thread topic :cool2:
It don't matter squat what nationality Pacquiao faces, they are all the same: Boxers. :boxing:
I would normally agree, however, I've witnessed with alot of anti asian racism from the african american community here in Oakland/SF
I am telling you that Pacquiao can either deal with the fallout that invariably comes with success or he can stop being successful. One of the ways to deal with it is to submit to the tests. Some accusations would not go away, but it would bring almost all of the rational debate to a close. Given that he has (or had) a sterling reputation, never did drugs in the past and if he submitted to the tests and passed easily, how many people do you think could reasonably accuse him of peds? There are no absolutes, but I do believe that if he took the tests and passed easily that no one, who wanted to be taken seriously anyway, could call him out anymore.
so just to please the sceptics and haters pac has to take the tests which may harm his chances in the fight which will damge his overall legacy. or take the tests after, and have the best chance of winning to increase his legacy. i choose the second option.

All accusations, by their natures, are unproven or else they would cease being accusations and become facts. Baseless accusations, perhaps, but be honest with yourself...would you totally buy into a guy going from 106 to 145, carrying all his power and speed with him when it has never been done before if it were not your favorite fighter doing it AFTER other people gave considered analysis after considered analysis on the subject? No matter what you think, I doubt you would.
The accusers have a dubious, but plausible case and this is precisely how many people have been found out in the past. People are allowed to doubt and you do not have to like it. If the ugliness that comes with success is too much for Pacquiao and his fanatics to handle, there are alternatives. He could start losing for one...or he could take the tests and bring all this debate to a close. Of the two which would you prefer?
he said he will take the tests. floyd wants the possibility of a 24 hour period before the fight which pac has a historical problem with. again pac has said yes.
