Given the current state of the HW division and the domination of the HW badlands by the Klitchcko bros, can Adamek secure a spot as one to beat above everyone else besides the Iron Towers? Can he beat Chambers, Arreolla, Povetkin?
he could be a top contender given the shittiness of this era for HWs, but even these days i cant see him become champ. he should just rule the CW division and leave his legacy there. ill watch and root for adamek no matter where he fights though. hes good for boxing.
i think the posts by Hank$moody and mt102879 are pretty much spot on.
adamek is not a big CW, and imo he only moved up because he knew he was not beating dawson at LHW. even when he was down at CW he would look smaller than alot of other fighters.
imagine what hed look like when hes next to a genuine HW like haye, ruiz, arreola or one of the klits. yes some could say that he was smaller than golota and he did a number on him but golota is a waaaay past his prime, shot fighter.
when adamek was down at CW he would be a sucker for the straight right hand and would get tagged with it several time in a round. so imagine what vlad or haye would do to him?!?!
id stick my neck out and say he will definently not win a title at HW and will probably not beat the second tier of HW's: arreola, chambers, chagaev, dimitrenko etc.
Like I said I don't see him beating either Klitschko and I probably wouldn't pick him against Haye or Chambers but he does have a punchers chance in each of those last two fights.
He looked pretty good against Golota and I know that he was old and shot but I think Adamek demonstrated he may have the tools to be competitive in the division because I think his power will carry up to an extent when combined with his handspeed which is good for a heavyweight and he throws in combination. He also has shown a really good chin as cruiserweight which he'll need since his defense is lacking. While a lot of the guys in the division are bigger then him (mostly overweight), I think the attributes I mentioned will help make up for that. Guess we'll have to wait and see happens when he steps it up.
It is a big jump in class between a worn out, old Golota and the top heavies. It is also a big jump in weight from fighting Chad Dawson. I wouldn't expect much. He might make more money but career wise the cruiserweight division would be better for him.

I think he can probably do alright against some of the top fighters in the division but I don't think he has what it takes to beat the Klitschkos. No lateral movement + no head movement + size difference = sucker for the jab and right.
Adamek is a small CW, that was outboxed by Cunningham and scraped by with the knockdowns. He's got power, but he's not that difficult to hit and I'll have to see him in there with someone besides an old, shot Golota before I can asses his chances at HW.
But I'd say Chambers schools him, Vitali stops him late, Wlad keeps him on the end of his jab till he can land 15 or so right hands. Povetkin, Arreola and Haye would be his best shots and I wouldn't favor him against any of those.
Hard to say at this point. I was impressed by his win over Golota but Golota's old and way past his prime. I'll see how he does against Estrada before making a more clear judgment.
I love that fat bastard......
It would happen one day...(Adamek/Haye)
I think Adamek would beat Vitali though.
will you love me too if i let myself go? :(
Haye has no reason to fight Adamek.
Adamek/Arreolla is a mis match of epic proportions....and Chris would beat the hell out of him.
I know they have no reason to fight now, but if both are successful in their heavyweight campaigns, it's a fight that WILL happen down the line.
As far as Arreola, Adamek can pop so he could definitely do some damage since Chris is very open. I dont see Chris shaping up anytime soon. Sad really, you'd think he's family would be sufficient motivation. But I tell you what, it's ****ing hard to drop mexican food from your diet.
