that's to be expected, Jones is now 200 lbs coming from WW.
While Manny is just fighting closer to his natural weight.
i know i was just using it as an example of how you can't compare the 2
he also gained alot of fat
manny became more ripped

just give it up.
all this bs is meaningless unless there's proof.
success should not be used as evidence of cheating.
until some evidence actually surfaces all this talk is dumb.
Good example but that is the only thing that came up with him. He looked like crap against Laing, pretty good against Benitez and surprisingly good against Hagler, then again Hagler was right in front of him. If you gave Duran movement, he'd look like straight up crap. He was real fat and out of shape.

Doesn't mean much, I can name a bunch of SFW/ LW boxers who rehydrate to 145/148 and didn't find any sucess moving up. They didn't perform better/ their power didn't move up either.
yea, but i bet you can also name ALOT of fighters who did move up and kept their power
it's not impossible you know, steroids is also a natural chemical made in the body
and yes, some people have more in their bodies than others
it's actually not that hard to believe
and what pacquaio has done(if your not blinded by hate) is actually good an all, but nothin that isn't clearly possible or not been done yet
Roberto Duran

Please don't compare Hearns and Pacquiao. Actually Hearns did maintain a respectful KO ratio when he moved up but it wasn't any better than when he was in the lighter weights. Another factor is that he was a tall dude and that on itself brings allot of leverage (think Paul Williams). Pacquiao is a very short guy who somehow (we now suspect how) managed to not only maintain but increase his power, punching resistance, head size (lol jk), speed and stamina. This is really unheard of. Either a freak of nature or a cheater. It's really that simple. Now Pacquiao never refused to make the freak of nature test... :boxing:
it's called a proffesional athlete, no cheating required
And PBF and PAC was 106 at their teen also, so PAC fightin at WW is impossible, but PBF doing it is normal wt**** lol.
They cant accept the fact, that PAC fought Cotto and PBF wont and he destroyed. They cant believe someone other than PBF could the best in this era lol.
God forbid if they give Pac any kind of credit...
Remember that Pac at 130 and 135 was 145-148 during fight night. His walking weight(no fights, no training) is reported to be 150 something. So he was cutting weight more than 20 pounds. So when he moved up to 147, he didn't need to lose that much. So when not fighting, Pac has still muscle but gain a lot of fat too. So when he trains now at 147, his losing the fat poundage.

Explain what do you mean don't compare Hearns and Pac?
And, I already gave an example of McClarnin who was basically the same size as Pac. Same height, reach, both were around the flyweight limit as teenagers, and both maintained power, punching resistance, speed, stamina by the time they got to WW. So is not that unheard of. And, McClarnin clearly easily became/is in the top 10 greatest WW of all time. IMO top 5, I actually have him at #3.
So now my question is was McClarnin a freak of nature or a cheater?
I will wait for your answer...

increase his speed?
he was fast at flyweight and featherweight.
increase his power?
do you know how good his punching power was at flyweight and featherweight?
increase his stamina?
because pacquiao had bad stamina in the lower weight classes right?
stupid post.
