Don't get me wrong, i'm not a hater, I think Floyd is a great great fighter and enjoy his work but if he can't sort out a fight with Pacquiao then I wanna see him take on an actual challenge. The Marquez fight was fair enough because he was coming back from retirement but now it's time to take on the proper Welterweights. So for Non-Floyd nuthuggers, which fights would you accept Floyd making in 2010?

mosely, williams, cotto, martinez..etc
anyone whos up there, i mean..Floyd is considering himself the p4p best he needs to fight the best to prove it.
Martinez would put the hurting on Floyd. Floyd won't fight anyone remotely threatening to his precious 0, lol. No Berto,no Mosley, no Clottey, no Collazo, no Williams, and no Martinez.
Floyd will pursue that Alvarez guy or Hatton's little brother, they should be a decent draw and provide little threat to him. This is why I say let the punk retire and good riddance.
Unfortunately I have a feeling you might be right. I just hope that the Boxing Media and Floyd fans won't stand for anymore BS matchups, it's gotta be nothing less than the top WW's from now on otherwise he should retire permanently and leave the best to fight the best rather than everyone just trying pointlessly to try and get a fight with him.
I'd say:
Mosley-Berto winner
Pacquiao
Williams
Martinez @ 154

I've read all the replies & for some reason,I came up with Margarito, here's why:Margarito called floyd out years ago, showed up at his interview & had him stuttering up a storm!!floyd recently said he'll fight anyone who called him out, well, there u go!!Margarito is a pure pressure fighter, while floyd is a pure boxer-counterpuncher,this fight would mesh those 2 styles together too perfectly!!
Yeah if Mayweather and Pacquiao aren't gonna fight then one of them has to take on the winner of Mosley/Berto. There has to be at least one fight in 2010 between Mayweather/Pacquiao/Mosley-Berto.
i wouldn't mind seeing floyd fight sergio martinez at 154.... i think that would be entertaining with martinez style. like pacquiao, i think martinez' style would make floyd have to fight more then defensively posture.
more so though i would much rather like to see the winner of mosley-berto fight floyd, or pacquiao for that matter.
i really don't have that much of a desire to see floyd fight though, because of all the times i've seen floyd fight, live or on tv, i maybe got my money's worth once.............. and sad to say that was way back in the castillo fights..... and barely there too , with the moneys worth.......
Yeah I added Martinez to the mix due to the fact that he is probably the top guy at 154 (in terms of name which equals bigger money fight) as Floyd was (due to some reports) trying to make the Pacquiao fight at 154.
All good man but don't buy into the bold, this only came out of Roach's mouth.
The issue I have with Mayweather facing Martinez is that Martinez is ACTUALLY a bigger threat to Mayweather then Pacquiao is, I wouldn't face Martinez. Keep in mind, I view Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 50/50 as it is. It's a very respectable move but Mayweather and his team aren't gonna gamble 40Mill here.

Hope he has grown some real balls to risk his O against a top caliber WW. LOL
i highly doubt it. take that 0 away and all you have left is a fighter no one wants to see. he'll take that 0 to the grave.
I hope he won't ask martinez to undergo some strange drug testing procedure. LOL
Is Martinez's trainer gonna say "We're willing to take whatever test, we'll pass with flying colors"?.
Paul Williams
Mosley
Cotto
Clottey
Margarito
Why do I have this strange feelings that floyd could have fought them 2 years ago before going to fake retirement? What could have been the reason he did whta he did?
mosley-berto winner. after that he should just go back into retirement because there really is no one else. well, there's williams but he'd avoid that man like the plague.Hope he has grown some real balls to risk his O against a top caliber WW. LOL

He can fight the mosley-berto winner or he can go to retirement and be a dancer for the rest of his life.

Being totally honest, I think he should go away and not return to the sport ever again. I don't care much because I have no desire to watch him box. Shane is too old anyway. Floyd doesn't seem to have many options. By molding himself as the "greatest", fighting anything less than the most elite fighters makes him look bad.

As long as you're not a nuthugger you're welcomed. Here's my feelings about the guys you mentioned:
Collazo - Don't think there's enough money in this fight for Floyd but Luis is also far too inactive and has already lost to current top Welterweights even if the Berto fight was very close.
Quitana - Yet again not a massive money fight and has lost to top Welterweights already in Cotto and Williams.
Cory Spinks - This is probably the best fight from what you named as he is a LMW titlist although I would rather see him take on Martinez for a LMW title and he is a bigger name as he is a current HBO fighter.
