I'd fake an injury halfway through camp hoping he'd cancel the fight instead. If that don't work, at the bell of the first round I'll immediately release a barrage of punches down his balls. If the ref, doesn't disqualify me yet, I'll release another 3-4 punch combo down his balls again. That way, even though I lose by DQ, I could say I still gave him war and save face and with head up high, people could argue that I had balls going into that fight, but he had none after it. LOL.
The first part is very true.
Gonzalez has come out and said that it's become very difficult for him to make 105 these days. Ideally, he said he'd like to fight once every three months, as it's easier for him to make weight that way.
He said a move up is imminent and would like to fight Segura. Now that's a fight.
Fighters, especially fighters that are big for the weight class, usually walk around at least 30 pounds above fighting weight. If they stay in the gym or keep a busy schedule, they can maintain it within 20 pounds.
People don't know how rare it is to have fighters that walk around within 10-20 pounds of the weight. Gonzalez or Segura vs. anyone is a solid fight, against each other it's a certified war.
In all honesty i think i could take him, he his a better boxer than me thats for sure. But i'd be too big for him.
I'm 6'4, 240 pounds, pretty lean at that.
I have been boxing since i was 15, i competed when i was younger but i have been content with just training and sparring for some years. I train 6 days a week and spar 2 days out of those. I know for a fact i have a good chin and i like to think i got quite a bit of pop in my punches.
I hate saying this cause people will think i'm pretentious, but i'm not saying i'm a better fighter in anyway shape or form. I simply have more than a foot on him and over 100 pounds, if i had never boxed in my life it would be another story but that's not the case.
Most important thing is, i would be up for it. Shit the chance to spar or fight a world class fighter would be a great honor and i'd say yes in a heartbeat. Even if i was to get the shit beaten out of me.
not how I saw it
Well I thought Shaq was surprisingly assertive in the fight and once he ran out of gas Oscar was punishing him with body combos, but had he been in real professional boxer shape I thought he would have won the decision or maybe even had enough to make Oscar quit.
Roman Gonzalez is one of the bigger minimum weights, he does not walk around at 105.
If he can tek my poonches and handle my footwork, he'd wear me down by the 2nd.

What? :lol1: I saw Oscar messing around in there TBH, also he was no where near being KO'd.
And also, I'm prety sure you aren't 7''0
He had Oscar ready to quit. At one point he lifted him off the ground with some shots. Shaq was giving it to him then ran out of gas
I'm 5'10" 225lbs. I'm a good street fighter lol. I land one decent punch and its over for him.
We saw how Shaq damn near KO'd Oscar De La Hoya with minimal skills and just size. And Oscar although strong for his size couldn't hurt Shaq.
I got the same type of size and power over this guy. I think I can take him.
:boxing:
I do agree though that he would probably **** up most of the people on this site up though, just cuz people think that fight and boxing is the same thing but boxing is an science and about time, jus not throwing your hands.
God people on here are clueless.
Case in point, I'm a 16 yo amateur with 14 fights, I'm a good enough fighter but obviously I'm still well on my way to reaching the top level. I weigh 125-30lbs. I'm about 5''6 or so.
The other day, mucking around at a friends house, I put the gloves on with a dude whos about 18-19, probably about 5''9-10 and told me he weighs nearly 180lbs, and he works out a lot so he's a fit, strong guy. He was throwing some punches and is pretty strong, but doesn't box. I blocked all his punches, and cracked him with a counter hook that nearly took his head off and rocked him. I then eased up even more and just waited for him to do something else, but he was obviously rocked. I then let my hands go again and had him turning around retreating away. Blood was coming from his nose and he had to stop.
So if I can do that to a dude who outweighs me by at least 50lbs, and I'm no where near on the level of a guy like Roman, wtf is he going to do to you guys? He would walk around at 130ish I'm guessing also.
He would probably walk around at the most 115. I'd beat his ass, Im 180 I have alotta boxing experience and if it was on some street shit I would easily handle him.
I think he would probably win. I have to honestly say though that I wouldn't fight him straight up. I would try to box and avoid him. Then pitty pat and clinch if he gets in close. lol
I might actually win with that gameplan.
As unfortunate and brutal as it is, we have a pretty good example of what can happen if a pro boxer hits a regular person without gloves, since a very drunk super-featherweight champion put a guy into a coma with one punch.
We also have lists of examples as to what happens when regular guys hit other guys without gloves on so Im not too impressed with that. The difference in punching power between a 105lb fighter and a 130lb fighter is also a huge difference. As much as some people on this site like to disagree size does play a huge difference in a fight as both punching power and punch resistance tend to go up with weight class. Im at the boxing gym regularly and have been in with journeymen pro HWs who I refuse to believe dont hit harder than a 105lb champion.
I went 31-3 in the amateurs, Ive been in more than my share of street fights probably around 60-70. I workout daily, I spar at the gym weekly, and Ive sparred with professional HWs. Im 6'1" 235 with about 11% bodyfat. I still concede that in a boxing match Id probably never touch him, in a street fight its all me. From boxing and fighting I know my chin is good enough to bang with a 105lb man. Id rush him and he couldn't hit me hard enough to keep me from coming. He may break my nose, black my eye and bust my lip but eventually I'll get to him and it'll be over.

I can beat that boxer. I'm 5'7 155lbs and my body is ripped. I have 20-0 in street fights. :blow:
We have a saying where Im from. If you've never lost then you've never fought anybody.
