Floyd has demonstrated the ability to take a good punch. I've seen him get hit flush and not even blink
Too much :blowjob: gave Gayweather a great chin.
well he did take some hard shots from demarcus coley and turned out okay. and the knocked down from zab seemed to me that he was just caught off balance rather than being hurt. we'll see on the 13th of march cause pac showed against cotto that he can hit at welterweight
I think his fighting style is indicative of how confident he is with his chin. In the lower weights as 130 and 135 he actually was willing to go toe to toe and trade punches to the anger of Roger mayweather at times. At WW he is more cautious as he feels he has a better chance of getting hurt. He dosent have a Haglersteelchin ala Hagler vs Mugabi possibly one of the most brutal middleweight fights in the 30 years; but he has a strong chin. I rate PBF to have a above average chin. But alot has to do with the fact that he dosent get hit with clean shots and partially blocks many of them.
I think the Pac fight will be the ultimate test as he will get harder than possibly ever before. So i expect PBF to use methods to make pac get less leverage from his legs which give him power. The early rounds against pac are key, when the fighter assimilates to the punch he than fight on if he dosent its over quick ala Pac vs Ricky Hatton.
But lets be real here. Any fighter/person that gets hit Flush will bow down. We are human. Floyd has a good chin tho, but it's more the state of mind to weather it when your hurt. He seems to relax and gain his whits better than most.
was only down once do to hand pain.... even though Zab put him down. Floyd has a really good chin. Check the Demarcus "Chop Chop" CCorley fight. Chop Chop lacks a mega pop but he was landing on Floyd, wobbled him a couple times. Once he popped him good but Floyd weathered it. People who say Floyd has no heart, watch that fight.
i dont know about him being very very tough tho ......lol
He is very very tough bro. He has gone fights with broken hands, and he went 12rds with a top LW with a fucked up shoulder. I mean bro you not going to go through those fights and winning those fights if you are not very very tough. I bash his resume. But, I would never bash that man physical attributes. And, like .Carl. Said he is also mentally tough. And, that means a lot physically. You have to take all that into account.
IMO Floyd has a great chin. We never seen him get hit in the chin that much. But, I think he does. And, he is also very very tough. His toughness is so underrated.
Are you for real?
Great great chin........
Took bombs from Judah...Corley..Castillo....and Oscar in the 12th round that wouldve knocked most people out cold...Floyd ate it.
No.. Oscar would not of knocked most fighters out cold with those punches. Lets not get carried away here. And, Corley and Castillo are not 1 punch KO artist either. But, I agree that Floyd chin is great. How great I don't know yet. But, his toughness is surely is underrated. He can fight and fight well through pain.
No. He just doesn't get hit clean much.
He has a decent chin.
I suppose the fact that he doesn't get hit much helps people notice how stunned/hurt he gets when he does get hit clean.
I think he has a good chin, but he has a great defense. Corley seemed to stun him a little bit, but hes so great defensively he never seems to take a clean punch.
good question larry
its hard to say because he a) doesnt take many shots and b) doesnt fight anyone his size
but there is no evidence to suggest that he doesnt have a bad chin, so im assuming yes, his chin is good, until proven otherwise
He's never fought anyone his size? So Oscar de la Hoya wasn't his size?
