Why is Dawson waiting so long to get back in the ring?

Adamek had a bigger fan base than Dawson did, and he could've moved up to Cruiserweight and never gave him his shot. Dawson needs to fight Cloud because it's the only fight in that division that isn't a mismatch. HBO has said that they are against televising mismatches. So why not televise this fight. And when you say this is Cloud's fault for this fight not happening is ridiculous. Cloud's team offered to fight on Dawson's undercard in his next fight and Dawson turned it down. So there's no other way to explain it other than Dawson being scared shitless of him. I don't think Dawson and his team wants anything to do with Tavoris Cloud because he's with the IBF. Of course you know the whole situation with the IBF. Jean Pascal is getting surgery on a dislocated shoulder and a broken collar bone, I don't think he'll be ready by June. I think Dawson should fight the other belt holders at LHW such as Gabriel Campillo for the WBA title or Juergen Braehmer for the WBO title. So Dawson's options are limited right now. Dawson wants a little bit more freedom. He probably feels like the sanctioning bodies are too strict in their rules although the WBO gives their champions much more leverage. But at the same time, he did duck Adrian Diaconu, I do blame him for that.

He will eventually fight Cloud I think. Right now Pascal is a more viable opponent. Who after that is there really at 175 for Dawson after that should he win other than Cloud? No one really. Nathan Cleverly is a good prospect, but he's still too green. There's some other fighters from Europe that I have yet to see, but LHW is still a pretty old division.

I was trying to figure out what kind of chance Pascal had of beating Dawson. And that popped up into my head when it didn't before. Dawson could get robbed if he fought Pascal in Canada. And I don't know what is so out of bounds about me saying that it's not the best fight there is to be made. Pascal is injured and there's no guarantee that he's not gonna be affected by it. So that makes Dawson look like an opportunist by fighting him even if I do think there's some chance that he might have to KO him to beat him. True, but anybody can be robbed anywhere. The same goes if Pascal fought Dawson in the states. That's fine if you don't think it's the best fight that can be made, I just found it odd that you though Pascal can no longer be competitive. Dawson is his mandatory and would eventually have to fight him regardless of there being lasting affects of the injury. That is unless Dawson gives up his status as his mandatory, which I haven't heard of. Also, I believe Dawson would've targeted Pascal even if he hadn't gotten injured. Frankly, I never thought he was going to get Hopkins, so IMO Dawson-Pascal was going to happen. Regardless of the situation, Dawson should, and needs, to fight both Pascal and Cloud.

That just won't do as Dawson really you could argue shut Johnson out last time....Cloud needs to create a buzz for himself not just have a good record with 18 bums and 2 past prime names. Why not? That was pretty much what Dawson's record was when Adamek gave him a shot like I've mentioned plenty of times before. Boxingwizard is one of the biggest Dawson fans on here and he wants Chad to get back in the ring ASAP. That is what you call a real boxing fan.

If this is as marketable as its going to get, it won't happen then. Cloud has to do something to really create a buzz like ko Johnson leaving him layout out in the ring or something. He can do that after he fights Dawson. I don't know how interested HBO is in Johnson anymore after how shot he looked against Dawson. His fight is on the nontelevised portion of the Berto-Mosley card. I don't think Cloud would KO Johnson, but he would beat him.

I want to read what you have to say when Dawson makes Cloud look like a fool winning just about every round against him.....but its up to Cloud to make the fight so HBO will actually put up the cash for it. Its really his fault because he doesn't fight enough so almost no one outside of hardcore fans knows who he is. This fight is as marketable as it's going to get. The only way to make it more marketable is to have them fight on a double header maybe. But nobody including myself is interested in them fighting no hopers. Pascal with his collar bone and shoulder injury stands no chance against Dawson, and he was never as good as Cloud to begin with. If Dawson beats Cloud, he's got my respect.
