When Espino hit Pavlik low a few times in the first, Pavlik started hitting low back. After Espino did it again, Smoger freaked out, warned Espino big time and then went over to pavlik and said something like: "You better not retaliate" Smoger is a perfect ref. If the fight is clean, you don't even notice him. If rules get broken, he goes gangsta.
