Do you agree with Burner when he says that Manny has not improved that much from the 2nd Marquez fight? im not gonna quote him word for word but he seems to be saying that its the opponents he has been fighting that have glossed over his technical flaws but those flaws still there. Do you agree.
I think its valid TO A DEGREE. To say he has not improved and that its just! the opponents style is a bit over the top imo, but i myself dont think he has! improved all the much DEFENSIVELY, so in a way i can see where Burner is coming from, albeit he is not giving Pac enough credit for the fact there are clearly certain aspects of his game that have improved. I also think Burner is right to a degree when he says that a lot of Manny's recent wins are guys who are made for his sharp shooting style, not that its the only!
reason why he is beating these guys.
Marquez fight was in 2008, its only 2009 now. Pacquiao got a draw against Marquez in the second fight on my card, knockdown being the deciding factor, however if i was to run with who i felt deserved to win that fight i would of said JMM.
So what is you take on this?
When Marquez & Pacman fought,Marquez was a very good fighter, fighting at his weight class!!I wouldn't say a thing about Pacman in those performances because that Marquez was probably the most technically sound fighter pfp!!Marquez above 135 was pushing it!!Marquez below was spectacular!!But Manny has improved in every fight to me,punch resistance, power, stamina & speed have all looked better each outing!!Yes he lacks defense, but he has the most prolific offense at 147 & below, period!!

I see improvement. Maybe not a huge amount since the 2nd Marquez fight, but compared to the older, more reckless version of Pacquiao the improvement is pretty significant. He's a better thinker now. Technically, everything has been in place for years, only it gets more finely tuned all the time. Am I making sense with this? Pacquiao keeps improving all the time because he's still working on things that he's been working on for many years, not just since Marquez.
The guy is still hungry to learn. You know how it is because Roach has talked about it often -- he can't keep Manny away once he starts training, the team have to stop him and slow him down. The guy still fights like he has a fire under his ass and it's made him constantly get better, plus he is stronger since he doesn't cut nearly as much weight these days, so with everything considered, the current version of Pacquiao is a beast.

nah pac has changed..
he a much more solid and two handed fighter now than when he fought JMM.
with less random explosiveness, and more quasi on the fly calculated destruction
There's a clear difference.
Cotto for example, was the orthodox fighter, but he fought from southpaw, and messed himself up because he was fighting pac from the wrong angle, if that make sense
Cotto was Southpaw? Maybe for 5 seconds the whole fight, right?
I disagree but the real quesion is,
Will Pacquiao resort to his old self when faced against Mayweather?
Good point, I don't think he will revert back to his one two style. But Mayweather makes so many adjustments, it's hard to say, but Pacquiao seems to be very good at sticking to a game plan.
It's hard to say, his last three oponents were tailor made for him in some aspects, especially Miguel Cotto. but we won't know for sure until he fights Floyd.
That is why I asked that question, one above.

Fine i'll agree with him but then we cant give mayweather any credit for beating a blown up, one dimensional brawler.
Giving credit and talking about improvment is 2 totally different things
