Real talk. He balloons up in weight in between fights while Mosley kept himself in shape during that time off. Can someone give me a detailed explanation of why they think Mosley will lose this fight?
Berto isn't overrated IMO.....shorty is LEGIT!!......he just has some very bad habbits and those very bad habbits is gonna get him KTFO by a beast like Shane.....Shane aint gonna get old overnight no time soon.....he on that B.Hop plan....ya heard!! :boxing:
Margarito was the most overrated on BoxingScene...shudda been here right before he fought Paul Williams...
Berto overrated? You can have your opinion but your a Mosley fan, so...
I think Berto is underated if anything. Berto has some potential, it will be interesting to see how people think if he does manage to beat Mosley. I see alot of people writing Berto completely off in this fight well i wouldn't be to sure of that.
i like both fighters but berto seems like a genuinely nice guy and a decent man overall. may the best man win and im definitely buying this fight.

You know Iceta I rarely ever agree with you but this time you are on point.
Peace.

If Mosley loses this fight I will be shocked.

No such as a lay off being beneficial when you are past your prime and old. Once your legs are gone, they are gone, simply never coming back. Mosley is a boxer who relies on his physical attributes, they lay off will mostly likely do him worse,
When the fight gets closer. We can bet that Shane will win by KO.
I actually think the long layoff benefits him. His has old legs. They need time off. Is like with Hopkins when he got up there in age he started fighting once a year. And, it has benefited his longevity. Same thing could help with Mosley. Where could see more bounce in his legs and feel more rejuvenated. Since he had time to rest his those old legs. I think everybody is looking at this long layoff as a bad thing. Where it could actually be a very good thing.

Hatton looked more exciting against Urango than Berto did.
yeah but didnt I tell you why? Please dont think that is a small thing. Remember Zab vs Cotto? Go rewatch that. Like an idiot, Zab goes the wrong way all night and gets killed. Every single time he went the right way, Cotto had hell reaching him and Zab did well. People thought Cotto was switching Southpaw to show off but he wasnt. He did it everytime Zab started going the right way because Cotto couldnt land in his normal stance. Zab and his dad are just idiots. I screamed it the whole fight. Sure enough on FNF the following week, they have Sweet Pea as the guest and he said the exact same thing. Sweet Pea said that "Im one of the greatest fighters of all time and am the greatest defensive fighter of all time but even I couldnt get away with moving to my left all fight. If youre a Southpaw then you move to your right but Zab went left all night".
Thats the main reason why Berto held all night or threw 1 punch and held. He did that because he felt weird, uncomfortable, and was out of position every time he threw a punch so he had to hold because it looked like he was going to get clocked every time if he didnt
12 month layoff for a fighter who is what? 37, 38 years old now???
Not to mention if we look a little farther into the past, before the Margarito fight, we see some very mediocre performances where perhaps he is showing his age.
He looked AWFUL agianst Mayorga. that was a MUCH closer fight then people remember. And Mosley was GASPING for air by like the 6th round
Then he lost to cotto. Before that he dominated Collazo but seemed to gas pretty bad in a fight that wasnt really that active.
Combine all that against a hungry young fighter like Berto, who is in his first big fight, and has faster hands then Mosley?
I mean that has trouble written all over it for Mosley. Should be a great and competitive fight, but Berto is definetly a live dog in this one In My Opinion.
im leaning towards a UD for Berto right now

1st off I disagree with you talking about his height. Most of the time I see people agreeing with you that he's garbage. I think the other way. I think he's super underrated. Its one thing I talk about all the time on here. You cant think that someone is straight garbage just becasue they struggle with Southpaws. Pretty much everyone does. Its very possible to me that he could look 10x better against Mosley than he did against Urango & Collazo even though Mosley is way better than them. He's still not a Southpaw and that will make the fight much easier for Berto.
The other thing is just like with Hatton, people so underrated Collazo. No one has killed Collazo except Mosley and Collazo took that fight on super short notice and hurt his hand in the 2nd round. It was legit. As for the Urango fight, Berto shouldve definatly done better but his trainer sucks. There game plan was for Berto to move to his right all night because they were scared of Urango's right hook but you never move that way against a Southpaw. No one teaches that. If he wouldve went to the left like he was supposed to then I think he looks 10x better against Urango. It threw his whole rythm off.
I just think you will see the real Berto against Shane and he will fight better because he doesnt have to deal with that Southpaw shit. Ask Paul Williams how he likes fighting them. Ask Wlad. Ask RJ, and so on. With that being said, I lean towards Shane because of the trainers. I would pick Berto if he had a good trainer and Shane still had his dad but Richardson is a beast and Berto has a rookie
The bold part is definetly worrisome for Berto Supporters. The guy simply knows stragedy, and a veteran like Mosley knows how to execute. Thats a huge plus for Mosley that i didnt even think of. good call
