It's nice to finally hear of Freddie Roach changing his story about Mayweather. I recall a couple months ago hearing something along the lines of: Mayweather is the easiest fight out there for us. Now, it seems Freddie is giving Mayweather credit and saying it is going to be much more difficult and I believe he even called Floyd a great fighter.
All this is nice to hear, but it's hard to imagine Floyd wouldn't be more difficult than Oscar, Hatton, or Cotto. Let's hope this gets finalized this week. Enjoy the fights.
have you ever hunt a duck?
make the
duck call, QUACK! QUACK! QUACK!
the purpose is to attract
the duck who also loves to QUACK.
when he comes dont beat your chest around
you spooked him and hes gone,
thread the waters in silence when he comes
wary of the possible trap, that may shut and
his precious duck egg "0"snatched
just pretend youre frightened, to let him build his confidence,
so when he broke his silence, you know hes there where you want him.
dont spook the duck or it goes flying,
just be patient until its quacking, then its time for pacmans whacking.
Roach is not changing his story. Mayweather is the easiest "fight" out there for Pacquiao because Floyd doesnt "fight". That's not to say it wont be difficult though.
I agree. Roach changed the idea, but didn't really change what he said. Mayweather is the easier fight career wise because pacquiao wouldn't get beat up by Mayweather, he could out point him, but not beat up. How many times did Mayweather really beat a fighter to retirement? With that said, he also firmly believes that Mayweather is a difficult fight style wise for pacquiao because of his counterpunching nature.
People, it's not "If God is love and love is blind; therefore God is blind." Read between the lines.
If you guys ever notice with every Pac fight, Roach always does this type of shit. He'll say that Manny's opponent with the easiest one day and the hardest the next day. With Roach it's all mind games to piss off the opponents and confuse the boxing writers.
Look what's happening now, he's confusing the posters on here and they're saying he's contradicting himself but that's what Freddie does. He did it for the Oscar fight, he did it for the Hatton fight, and he really did it for the Cotto fight.
It's just same old, same old and some people here are making it out to be like he just started doing it.

I think no,Roach is not changing his story, just that his first claim was a bait to prick the ego of Floyd Jr. Now that Jr. took the bait, it's time to tickle his ego, that he is great, that he can beat Pac.He's in the bag.
Can you say mind games?
Yeah, but when the opponent is so focused on the task at hand(team Mayweather), training and preparing, and all you do is contradictory statements and/or all out lies, after a while, it'll begin to fall on deaf ears. Therefore, making your strategy ineffective because your words mean nothing. Roach is trying to get a feel for what going on over at the Mayweather Camp. Team Mayweather, in effect, as had a media blackout since this fights negotiations has started. Joe Buck interview was nothing more than the same ole same that we've heard for years. Nothing to give a hint as to where Mayweather's mind set is. Silent and mystery is also a mind game that can be played.
