if someone would ask you:
"where was the peak of cotto's career?"
"where was cotto at his best?"
what would be your answer?
the mosley fight?the judah fight?
after the margarito fight..Cotto was 27..
people then said, he still has a bright future ahead of him..
he can still grow..and improve..
more opportunities will soon arrive..
and then we saw what happened..
now,
he's near retirement...
the overhand right was connecting on cotto anytime mosley threw it. cotto didn't have an answer for it and looked like a deer caught in headlights. I highly suggest you watch the fight again pal.
oh i know that... its the fact iceta said mosley was at his worst to downplay cotto. if u look at all of mosleys loses they were to fighters with good jabs. i know cotto got popped with that right hand he also is vulnerable in exchanges which cost him in any fight he tried.
If Cotto was at his peak during the Mosley fight, then Mosley was at his worst because he didn't have Richardson in his corner. Cotto looked like shit from that fight on in my view. He beat Gomez and did a bunch of stupid things like dropping his hands and trying to act like he could box like Wilfred Benitez. And I don't see how Cotto looked good in the Margarito fight because he didn't get any leverage on his punches even in the rounds he out boxed him.

i agree with u at a point he was his best with mosley and then lost to marg but who did he add to improve since then? no1 and the results r clear. look at the klit bros b4 steward and look at them now, they were zombies b4 they had him.
LMAO, if you compare Hatton to Cotto, you don't know shit about boxing. Cotto was never overrated and beat the likes of Judah, Clottey, Quintana and more impressive Mosley. Hatton would get KOed round 1 against Shane. Shit Pacquiao could have easily stopped him round one.
Hatton would lose to Quintana, Mosley, Judah and Clottey. This ***** almost got stopped by fukkin Lazcano, and Lazcano was shot to shit.
never ever compare ricky friggin hatton to cotto just stop it's a insult to miguel cotto. At 140 cotto beats him in a easy ud and at 147 he fregin breaks his face. Ricky hatton is a C- club fighter. His fans chant there is only one ricky hatton and i say thank god cause he's f'n trash. Miguel Cotto should retire he's been in many wars and the brain and body can't take it for a long time. But ricky hatton has no buisness being mentioned with the likes of a miguel cotto period
in every aspect possible.
You're frigging delusional. Cotto is far and away more talented and more professional than hatton is or could be in his wettest dreams. hatton is rubbish (like my use of your vernacular?), always has been and is now even more so because of his profiteering attempts. Typical fanboi attitude.
Oh, and aig are worthless opportunistic vermin. Unless that is satire in your avatar, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Seriously
Cotto is all messed up mentally he had all the tools to beat Pac but he didnt.
Cottos loss was as one sided as they come. Aside from running in the later rounds he did nothing but get dominated. Get real man.

Haters love to hate. I deplore you for comparing Cotto to hatton. That is tantamount to blaspheme.
well, id like to remind you that hatton has achieved more in his career as a boxer than cotto has. remember that.
If u closely look at cotto as a fighter u would easily see him as a limited fighter who was carefully moved along. He is a hatton type who ballons in between then cuts big weight to fight. He never was anything special to me honestly. Another face 1st puncher who knows only two ways to "fight" With his face and then when the monkey gets on his back he gets on his fatigue bike.

is he bollocks near retirement. he is still a decent fighter. he was just always overrated. he can still win titles at welterweight and id say hes got a few years left yet.
Not so fast!
