Interesting stats, according to Boxrec, check it:
KO% of the "top ten" light welterweights:
1. Marcos Rene Maidana 92.86
2. Amir Khan 69.57
3. Ricky Hatton 68.09
4. Juan Urango 68
5. Devon Alexander 63.16
6. Nate Campbell 62.5
7. Joel Casamayor 52.38
8. Kendall Holt 46.43
9. Juan Diaz 45.95
10. Timothy Bradley 44
Maidana's incredibly high KO percentage and WBO champion Timothy Bradley falling at the bottom of the list are perhaps the most noteworthy stats, along with Khan coming in at number 2.
Maidana has fought more bums than Khan. Maidana's only stand-out victory is against Ortiz, in which he got knocked down no less than 3 times!! And Ortiz isn't even on that top 10 list, in fact BoxRec has him rated as 25th in the world and he has a KO ratio of 70%, which is similar to Khan's (69%). Plus Khan is the fastest 140lb fighter around so as long as Khan's defence holds up, he wins by late KO or UD.
Don't really understand this topic to be honest. What's the significance?
Light welterweights with high KO percentage... means Bradley is featherfisted..
As Jreckoning said, these types of figures are funny in that they really don't tell the true story.
Let me ask you this? Who would least like to be caught with a left hook or straight right by? The guy I would least like to be hit by there is one with nearly the least % in Kendall Holt.
The other would be Khan. Holt has probably the most single punch power out of those guys from what I've seen. When he does hit you flush, it's bad.
Having Bradely at number 10 is a disgrace. Should be something like:
1. Bradley
2....
....The rest of them.
(Yes I am aware Boxrec use a crude points based system).
Considering Bradley is a champion... but Diaz was a champion recently and he's at number 9 on the list, with 45.95%. There are some style similarities there too I guess.
This is not their top 10 rankings, it is their top 10 based on ko% (just letting you know). If it were their overall rankings, better believe Bradley would be #1.

Crude points based system? It's just a simple listing of the top 10 in the division by KO percentages top to bottom. It just means that Bradley has a lower percentage of KO's compared to everyone else in the top 10. They're just interesting statistics. Nothing more nothing less.
He does have power, he can punch and you wouldnt wanna get caught by him. Bradley is underrated regardless i feel. I was surprised Holts was under 50%
holt is a 4 round fighter.
as for % its all about resume but even so, maidana is a dangerous guy
This proves Amir Khan is legend.
This proves nothing. It does, however, strongly imply why Amir doesn't want to fight him. Were I one of those in charge of his fight selection, I wouldn't put him in the ring with someone who can hit back either...
call me crazy but but i think bradley's power is alittle underrated ... or should i say he at least isnt as feather fisted as his kayo % suggests. at least imo
