This would be a nice fight for Margarito's return, who do you think takes it at 154? The fight should be call "clash of cheaters" they should ban both from boxing.

If Chavez Jr. can have put in the contract that he can bring a machete in the ring. I'd say he might win by a controversial split decision. Hehe All kidding aside, I think it's a consensus walk for Margarito, right?????

This fight would not last a minute. JCC Jr. sucks that bad Chavez Jr is living off his fathers great name. You talk about padded records and here you have a 23-24 year old with a 40+ win record and he cant even knock out the guy from the Rite Aid cash register. he is horrid in his last two bouts I saw him in there with two nobodies and he made it go the full 10 rounds and in my book got hit way too much and the fights were alot harder than they needed to be. He is not a B Class fighter or even a C Class fighter in the minds of most. Margarito on activity and aggression would pressure him into a corner and land a big number of punches. Chavez loses that fight in less than 9 rounds....Lefty

Well, I hope Chaves Junior wins. I did not have a problem with him until it was discovered he tried to cheat against Mosely. Now I do not KNOW that he cheated against Cotto, but the evidence (imo) points that way. What he said about killing Cotto in the ring exacerbated an already poor public image. Chavez Junior, if he wins, could use this to catapult himself to greater things. Sadly, you might be right, and the fight will not take place. Well, Margarito lose a lot of respect from my end too, and I don't include him as one of my favorite fighters anymore, but besides that I think he can wipe the floor with Chavez Jr. I think that the fact that he got his cheating discovered before the Mosley fight it influenced a lot on his performance that night, not because of not having plaster on his hands, but because he was not focused and was thinking the most about his own future. I don't know also if he cheated on Cotto's fight, but he can be a decent fighter with his relentless style and good chin.

You mean the fight might be legitimate? It could draw A LOT of crowd here in Mexico, even more if they fight in Tijuana or Los Mochis... thats a credible catchweight for both, and both Margarito and Chavez Jr. can fight in Mexico even if they are suspended in USA... but as I said, it will not happen for "friendship" :grouphug:
