Pacquiao had 20 wins at Junior Featherweight to Super Featherweight.
Of those 20 wins at 122-130 , all but 3 were by Knockout.
The 3 wins that went to the scorecards were against Barrera , Marquez and Larios. All 3 of whom Pacquiao was able to knock down in his fights with them.
Don't talk about Pacquiao as if he had no power in the lower weight classes.
Of his 12 wins that he didn't get a Knockout/Technical Knockout win , 9 was when he was still in the Flyweight divisions before he was even old enough to buy alchohol. (Not even old enough to buy cigarettes in most of them)
He throws 1, 2's and is always off balance after he throws punches.
LOL. Same old shit. People talking about his balance when sparring partners and ex-victims praise the fact that his balance is awesome. He gets leverage on punches that fighters with traditional styles just can't. It's not bad balance, it's brilliant balance, only you think it's wrong because it's not a normal, traditional boxing style.

Exactly. Cuz' he's supposed to lose to those guys.
The fact that he's overachieved with such limited skill and boxing acumen only leaves one explanation.
Well it leaves 3.
Picking the right opponents (shot), weight draining them, and steroid abuse.
how can u OVERACHIEVE?? i mean are you just destined to achieve something without any chance of achieving more than what you are supposed to? whats the point of all of this if we know whats going to happen?
Exactly. Cuz' he's supposed to lose to those guys.

Is is really just 3? How about a good work ethic, dedication, and your back behind the wall stuff. The whole of PI expect him to do good inside that ring.
Excellent points.
I think its cuz' people see him and just don't see anything special. He throws 1, 2's and is always off balance after he throws punches.
His biggest assets are speed and primitive savagery.
It works against "the right" opponents, but against anyone who can actually fight, he looks average.
Against Hatton--he looked EFFING GOLD!!!!! My goodness. For a guy who won world championships--Hatton left his chin out like he wanted somebody to steal his bike from his front yard.
Excellent points.

he was suppose to lose to ledwaba.
he was suppose to lose to barrera.
pacquiao winning when he wasn't suppose to is nothing new.
This displays the most incredible tunes ever produced by the instrument we call a guitar.
These guys were pretty tough to.
Holy crap! That's some really good shit.
Thread bookmarked. :D

this thread should officially shut up the haters including malignaggi.
I dunno man. I gotta be honest. The steroid thing is really growing on me.
that's because you're a hater.
if pacquiao got ktfo by cotto or delahoya , there wouldn't even be any steroids talk.
accomplishments is not proof of cheating.
if that's the case then everyone who does great is on roids.
Dear God, I hope you're takin' the piss!
Get into this mix of music: Miles Davis (Kind of Blue), John Coltrane (love Supreme), Beatles (anything), Brad Mehldau (Largo or Day is Done), Atmopsheres (Under the Trees), Rammstein (Mutter), Tom Waits (Rain Dogs), Nick Cave (Henry's Dream) Satoshi Tomie (New Breed).
Give 'em a go mate. Eclectic mix of excellent music.
i don't listen to music except while driving.
That doesn't explain what he's been doing at the higher weights.
Most fighters in the lower divisions have pop. Except for Calderon.
i'm not trying to explain his punching power at higher weights.
this is meant to counter the guys that state (incorrectly) that pacquiao had no punching power in the lower weight classes and all of a sudden have punching power in the higher weight classes.
no offense to cotto and hatton but they don't really have granite chins.
torres almost put cotto away at 140 , collazo almost put hatton away as well.
is it that unimaginable to think that pacquiao moving up to 140-147 can have as much pop as torres and collazo?
pacquiao proved he has pop at 140-147 with his fights with hatton , cotto and delahoya.
let's not pretend he had no pop below 140 or that he somehow has tommy hearns power at 147 now.
That doesn't explain what he's been doing at the higher weights.

Actually, most don't. If you look at many Bantamweight, featherweight fighters, very FEW can bang the way Pacquiao did. That was something Lampely immediately commented about Pacquiao when he first saw Pacquiao fighting in the early 2000s.
