Im only posting this becuase i wont some advice on wether or not this is a good age to start and how could i catch up we people my age who are ahead of me. I am a very determined person and am willing to train everyday if i have to.
Thanks
My biggest piece of advice would be to listen to your body. I tried training like two years ago but ended up injuring a knuckle. Every couple days I'd go back to heavy bag thinking because the swelling went down it'd be fine, wrong. Another thing is think about the risks and rewards, and I don't mean injuries and death and whatnot. If your training like an animal will you have time to go to college? I just went back to school because unless your really gifted and stuff your probably going to be working for someone and not making a lot of money. So the real question is are you willing to risk being 36, broken from injuries, living in a ghetto, working at some minium wage job, having trouble remembering things, wondering what could have been just to get that one in a million chance to be a great? I know not all boxers end up like that but it is a sad common story.
Be extremely self critical. Always look to improve. Try and perfect every move. Good is not good enough.
Don't be one dimensional, the best fighters have many weapons in their armoury.
Listen to people but don't take their word as gospel. Never discount any criticism, never take it personally, but never accept any advice blindly. Learn over time who to trust and listen to.
If you want to be the best, you have to train the hardest. If you go pro, be professional. If you take shortcuts, you'll pay for them. Even the best fighters in the world get caught out when they don't take it seriously and dedicate themselves fully.
take it one small step at a time, don't set high expectation goals like becoming world champion, aim for smokers or exhibition matches, then aim for the golden gloves etc. gota learn to walk before you learn to run

Last night when they were talking about Martinez, I think they mentioned that he started boxing at 17 or 19 and if you saw the figth, you can see he is a great boxer. Dedicate yourself to be the best and work hard at it.
Good luck.:boxing:
train everyday, and yeah it is a pretty good age to start. Train like a beast, and like you you're about to fight some one like pacquiao. Master the basics, run everyday, do the boxing work out everyday, oh and try to masturbate atleast 7times a week, so that you can have that extra strenght when you get in the ring.
wtf???????
