Provided this turns out to be a great fight, do you guys see any possibility for a rematch? If he wins/loses, Does Pacman retire if he's elected to office...or if Floyd wins a close decision, does he avoid giving Pacman another shot at him? Or will the money be too great to pass up?
not a chance: if pac wins he goes into the political role..if mayweather wins he says "I told you so"
i wouldn't be surprised if there's a trilogy. i predict a draw for this fight with huge controversy which will result in a rematch, then a 3rd to settle things once and for all. :burnout:

If Floyd does dominate Pac then who would you like to see Floyd fight next?
Paul Williams, would be a great test for Floyd to expand on his legacy, i'd love to see that fight
But realistically, it'll be Shane, not as legendary but more winnable IMO
I don't see any WW fighting Paul
A lot of people think a rematch will happen regardless of the outcome of the first fight. Fight 1 is going to draw an insane amount of money, so a second fight would be a completely natural move to cash in more. If possible, they'd certainly want to set it up as a trilogy of fights.
I'm with these people, a rematch is a near certainty regardless of the outcome of Mayweather-Pacquiao 1.
You guys will see the difference in quality
You will all call Manny a hype job
Because Mayweather will be so good
Then you will all jump behind Paul Williams and say Floyd's ducking Williams
All because the world is desperate to see Floyd losing

I remember a week or two ago there was a lot of talk how Pac's team wanted stipulations for a rematch in the contract but Floyd's team was adamant about stipulations that there would be NO rematch. I don't know what they ended up settling on but it indicates that Floyd is confident of a win and wants NO rematch whereas Roach/Pac are hedging their bets and aren't as confident as one would think.
if this is true, and Pac wins,
he should pull a Kostya.
"you said no rematch,
that means no rematch".
if you're confident then you DON'T rematch someone. Why would you rematch someone you destroyed?
If Mayweather wins, I doubt it will be a destruction. I could see him winning a decision though. If Team Mayweather was 100% confident Pacman couldnt beat them, wouldnt they entertain the thought of a rematch if there were big dollars involved again?
You'd think if Floyd was that confident against Pacman, he'd have no problem with a rematch clause as he could clean up twice.
Team Pacquiao might want a rematch clause in case it took them a defeat by decision to figure out Mayweather how to beat him in a 2nd fight?
What is the real story behind rematch clauses though? Floyd always thinks about money so Im thinking that Floyd dont want the clause because its probably already a set price in the clause for the winner when if they dont have one then Floyd would still give him a rematch but probably wants alot more money than Pac. Floyd would probably say that he only deserves 65/35

If Floyd wins..No
If Floyd Loses..Possibly
Most think its the exact opposite. They say that Floyd only cares about money so why wouldnt he want to fight the guy he's going to make the most against, espically when he has already beat him? Alot of people think if he loses then Pac will want to walk with that victory instead of giving him a rematch
It would have to be a really close great fight. But yea if it's like one of the greats, then obviously there be so much money in a rematch either man would be stupid not to take it. But if it's a blow out, especially if Mayweather wins there no chance and as well there shouldn't be. But I am hoping for a great fight...and great for both sides not just a one sided fight. We need one of these mega fight to just be amazing. And I think this fight will be.
