Vazquez vs Gamboa and Juanma vs Marquez are better more meaningfull fights at this point!!!
3 fights are more than enough!!!!
Bro but 1 pt taken away from rafa seperates these 3 fights. Also how does them 2 fights mean more? because of some belts? These 4 fights will go down in the history books as one of the greatest rivalries of all time. All they are gonna do is add to it. When I have kids i will show them these 4 fights before i show they 2 title matches that we don't know how may play out....It will be brutal but they want it and who are we to say no if they still seem healthy
you cant stop two guys from wanting to fight eachother who they probably think will bring the best out of them...they want to keep going til someone is fully destroyed....its part of boxing.....you find that opponent that matches you and thats it, you would probably be happy just to keep fighting that person....

And, how is 3 enough? When each fight is better than the one before and the last fight has really close and with a lil controversy. And, if Rafa wins and is another candidate for FOTY lets have a 5th fight.
When was the last time 2 fighters fought at least 4 times? It seems like Robinson-Lamotta and then Charles-Walcott but there must be something more recent.
Naito-Wonjongkam fought 4 times more recently
See, I just always disagree with the notion of "the man who closes strong deserves to win the fight".
Fights are scored on a round by round basis. I though Marquez won enough rounds to win the fight, including the knockdown in the 12th. I agree that it was a very close fight, and I love both guys, but I think the wrong man won.
Obviously I'm not crying robbery or anything, it was very close, but it seems like the scoring on that fight NEVER comes into question for some reason.
marquez was robbed of a draw by the incompetent ref. he took a point away for a shot right on the belt line. he basically ruined the entire fight with his over officiating.
That doesnt make sense!!
Not at all!!!!
The younger fighters can fight each other and make names for themselves without fighting these too.
Plus these guys are just linked together in boxing history a 4th fight and they both retire would be ideal. Unless Rafa wins then maybe a 5th haha.
it was paper thin close, but I think the right man won. Like they said in the documentary, "Rafa came out in the 12th round to not lose the fight, Izzy came out to win it".
