poll to come
Personally for me it has to be bad decisions/robberies, havent watched the Funeka - Guzman fight yet but I expect I'll be feeling angry at the end of it from what Ive heard on here so far. Robberies really do hurt boxing and damages its credibilty in my eyes.
We all know death is the worst one, thats a no brainer that shouldnt have been in the poll
Aye I was thinking of leaving it out, probably should have, deaths and injuries are associated with any type of sport and even though they are tragic when they do happen, its actually pretty rare in boxing considering its brutal nature.
How could robberies be worst then cheaters/ steroids users? Come on people!
Maybe its my own slightly naive thinking but I tend to think that Cheaters usually get caught out and when they do they are forever stigmatised by it for the rest of their careers.
BIGGEST FIGHT OF 2007
Mayweather vs DLH
Waste of my money. I was so looking foward to this fight. What a lame ass hype.
All and all, most of the choices on this poll make boxing crap.
Examples: Shit judges, steroids, too many weight divisions (this is a big one)
A LOT OF THINGS
1.Fights not happening because of money issues and failed negotiations (boxing politics).
2.Boxers being too inactive, fighting only once or twice a year.
3.Fights not being televised on free cable television.
4.HBO & Showtime.
5.Promoters hurting the sport by ripping off their boxers and refusing to televise fights on free cable television.
6.Boxers delaying a fight because of injuries.
7.Too many weight divisions (imo this is the worst part of professional boxing).
8.bad decisions
As for boxers ducking so and so, I don't really care as long as they are not inactive and their fighting the opponents they are suppose to be fighting (mandatories).
The way I see it, if you watch a fight that is very entertaining all the way through then have a bad decision at the end, at least it was entertaining. Everyone knows who the real winner is but yes it is a shame the right fighter lost or was given a draw. What is worse IMO is fights that are hyped up then turn out to be boring like the De La Hoya vs Mayweather fight. That makes boxing look weak to the casual fan. I am a Floyd fan but even I recognize he could have went at Oscar more after talking all that shiit.
Yeah, I agree. Although in Floyd's defence I do think he was a little scared going into that fight. People forget that Oscar had just decapitated a guy in Mayorga who everyone thought was mad tough and had a steel chin. Floyd at the same time was only coming into the ring at 146 pounds for WW fights so I think he was a little worried that going to 154 he may be too small and that Oscar could really hurt him. Add that to the fact that his dad was telling him non stop not to get hit with that hook or he could knock you out. He just had a ton of negatives thoughts & worries I felt that people overlook because he is cocky on the outside. The on top of that I think its more of Oscar's fault because he was the bigger man that everyone felt would go at Floyd and try to put pressure on him but he never did. Thats why I always felt that if the rematch did come off that Floyd would be way more aggressive because he wouldve realized that Oscar couldnt hurt him and that he could actually hurt Oscar when he let his hands go

The worst thing is Skysports trying to brain wash casual fans into thinking a fight is going to be competitive, when hardcore fans can see a mile off that the guy has a million in one chance of winning the fight. They will role as many VT's as they can of his best bits and get pundit after pundit speaking on the side caution like the guy is a legit threat.
Mine isnt on the list. The thing I hate the most is that you always have to wait so long for a fight. You wish guys could fight back to back but most of the elite guys will only fight like twice a year now and whenever you want a major match, you still know that its 6 months away until the fight actually happeneds
We all know death is the worst one, thats a no brainer that shouldnt have been in the poll
I didn't vote for that because we all know that is always a possibility in Boxing. Ofcourse that is worst but cheaters would contribute to that.
