I mean, this happened right after Joe said that Kessler was head and shoulders above the rest. I'll bet he was praying every night for this not to happen. He comes on here and tells Mayweather to fight the best right before this fight takes place. So I'm wondering if Calzaghe is on suicide watch right now. He seems like some of these bandwagon posters who disappear after their favorite fighter loses. Lol.
Calzaque is great. Who do you want him to fight? If he were to face dawson you would say dawson is overated. You guys got every excuse for every fighter he could face
I'm not a big fan of Ward's style either, but he is a pain in the ass for anyone to fight because of his speed, movement, and decent power.
Well at least he's a pain in the ass for a fighter moving recklessly in straight lines.
Well Kessler was a major dissapointment in that fight that's for sure.
PS: And Ward is a dirty fighter.

What you're saying is probably right where some people are concerned. But if Kessler would've beaten Ward, he would've got all the credit in the world from me. It's just that I picked Kessler thinking that his power would carry the day even if he got outboxed in the fight. Now that we saw that he couldn't even put a dent in Ward's chin with what little punches he landed, it calls his power into question in my view because a lot of people think Ward has a weak chin. And I guess my last post looked faulty to you because I said that Kessler wasn't protected and at the same time said he didn't have an elite fighter on his resume. By me saying he is not protected meant that he beat some decent fighters like Lucas and Andrade and traveled outside of Denmark several times. It didn't mean that I said he had faced a crafty boxer that was fresh up to that point.

But that's a faulty post. If Kessler had beaten Ward he wouldn't have been an A-level opponent in the first place. That win would rank below his win over Mundine for sure.

I know the idiot hater contingent will find this hard to grasp, but I very much doubt Calzaghe gives a shit.
I've never said Kessler was protected. But most people say he's not that good and he had yet to step in the ring with an A level opponent. And when he finally did, he got beat. That's not hate. It's just keeping it 100.

But in 10's or more other posts you practically say he's garbage, while he could have stayed home defending a belt like Ottke or Joe (or Jones) you ridicule more than acknowledge his willingness to test himself against the best the division has to offer.

Dude, the very post you are replying to I mentioned that I respect Kessler for traveling to fight.

like I stated in a thread I made 2 years ago, Calzaghe is overrated. no hate, cuz I have a lot in common with the guy, but he is just overrated. he is a good fighter that is worshipped like he is the greatest.
everyone that criticized me for saying Kessler isn't that good are eating their words right now.
It might have been different on US broadcasting because in the danish medias he gave Ward full credit.
I really do think that Showtime wants to press the nationalistic angle on the tournament and for good reason. There's a lot of money and interest gathered that way.
Reagrding your agenda it's just odd that you critisize Joe for staying and winning while shitting on Kessler for travelling and losing. :nonono::nonono: Why don't you applaud he's willingness to take on all comers instead?

A lot of people probably do shit on Kessler. I actually still respect the guy even though we all know he's beatable. He's traveled in his opponents' back yard a few times and he's a nice, humble cat. The only thing I didn't like was his whining at the end of the fight in the post interview.

Kessler has not beaten anyone that Lacy probably wouldn't have also beat. Do you really think Andrade would beat Lacy? I don't.
Andrade is way better than Lacy is. I'm more objective than that even though this thread is here to put Calzaghe's pathetic career on the spot.
You pretty much said that Lacys best wins was better than Kessler's. You may wanna retract the statement now, but that's what you said. Impossible to interpret it any other way (even though english isn't my first language).

But then again you shit on Kessler despite him taking on all comers and even doing so in his opponents backyard. I smell an agenda.

lol he wouldn't even fight Miranda in the U.S.
his best wins are Andrade (MAYBE better than Miranda) and an unknown Euro champ named Markus Beyer, who never beat anyone good in HIS entire career
People think that just because posters criticize Calzaghe we hate Euro fighters to the fullest. That's not true. It's just that I in particular apply everything where it needs to be applied. I can't say that I can't stand Floyd Mayweather for denying us good fights and ducking tough opponents and in the same breath praise Calzaghe for fighting stiffs in Wales and waiting for his main rivals to have one foot out the door before getting the balls to fight them. It's being fair and unbiased.
