Beating Kessler made Joe Calzaghe an all time great!! All Ward has to do next is fight two former 40+ year old greats, win and then retire. I said a few years ago he would be a great boxer, cut from the same cloth as Hopkins...I was ridiculed, mocked, scorned, and laughed to contempt. But with every fight those voices of derision have sheepishly subsided. One fight at a time. yep andre reminded me alot of hopkins in the kessler fight!

Jermain never looked like a world beater though. His marquee wins vs. Hopkins were disputable, not complete destruction like Ward-Kessler. I think Ward should be the favorite in the tournament and could go undefeated. I also think he would smack Chad Dawson right now. Dawson is a bum who fights in spurts and tires late. Andre is just as quick and would whoop that kid. Say he wins the super six, fights and beats Pavlik and P Will, and eventually fights Chad Dawson and obviously whoops him, I think he would be well on his way to cracking top 100 all time in the lower end. I really see him as a favorite in all those fights except maybe AA in the super six...

Yes he could as just any young good prospect. But he needs more fights. Taylor started well too and went downhill really fast. You need a little bit of luck and allot of planning to do so.

The guy has only had like 20 pro fights and he already destroyed the number one supermiddleweight in the world guys a beast he's got to win the whole tourny first then whoop that german guy and the winner of bute-andrade.... Then he'd have all belts like he said he would beginning a bernard hopkins type of legacy. He's smart and has an amazing combo of cleverness and speed for a super middleweight. he is only starting that hof legacy after his first belt though...

Even though i see him being favoured uneccesarily, i think he can be even w/o the headbutting. He's a really good well rounded fighter that has everything it takes to take the tourney. All he needs to do is get past AA and he's got it...fixed or not. AA ain't gonna give him any special treatment like he's been getting that he doesn't even need. He's gonna have to earn that one, big time.
