What in god's name is Joshua Clottey doing?

Williams offered him a lot of money to fight, and Clottey turned it down and said he wanted more. Imdazed, you know I am a Clottey fan, but he is just looking like a hypocrite. He didn't even beat Cotto or Margarito, his biggest win is against Judah. Williams beat Margarito and holds a win win over right Wright, who was passed his best, but it's still a solid win. He is really fucking up this time. Like every other fighter (including Paul Williams), Clottey's goal is to make big money. I knew he would have a change of heart once he fought Cotto and got some props. He knew all he had to do was just look good, not really win (he even said this!). And now you see him cherry picking.

Clottey was set to fight Quintana on the Pavlik-Williams card 12/5, but that fight got cancelled along with the main event. It was no fault of Clottey.

That's not true, from what I heard. I don't want to say too much but let's just say, Clottey had a lot of excuses for not making the Williams fight. I wish I could afford to turn down 650K.

I understand the decision and believe it was right. Williams is a better fighter than Cotto and shouldn't be forced into fighting guys he has already beat. The Pavlik bout was a better fight and now the Martinez fight is better as he is coming off a dominating Knockout/Decision double win over Cintron.

I thought the reason for that fight falling through was because Clottey didnt have a trainer. In a interview on this site he said that if Pwill gave him more time that the fight could be made. His Facebook was coming up with all sorts about travelling etc. It's a real shame and is exactly what is wrong with boxing. Guys like Mosely, Clottey, Williams can't get the big fights. Yet everyone is clamouring to see Mayweather v Pac at 147 even though at the end of the day those guys would probably get their asses beat by the 3 aforementioned fighters. That's what I've been saying forever,the super stars of boxing have been cherrypicking & getting their way for soooo long,it's like boxing fans have forgotten that fighters are supposed to fight,not be pampered unconditionally!!

Since the controversial loss to Cotto, haven't heard much outside of the Paul Williams negotiations falling through. What the hell is he up to and when is he gonna get his ass back in the ring? Dude's not a big money fighter, so what's he waiting for? He split whith his trainer I believe, you can ask him on facebook.
