shadows good bizness u know ur fight game and despite the pic in ur sig u know more than pac, cotto, mayweather like most of this forum. If I had rep to give u you'd get it good discussion homie.
Thanks for the compliments man, it's always good to get into serious boxing discussions with other posters like yourself.
I'm sure we'll have some more over time. :boxing:
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some talking about Bradley's head. He's got a rep for it. Both Holt and Campbell were cut on accidental butts.

i think he has a clear advanage inside but bc of hometown crowd and tb's workrate he may get judges favor, thats y i hope lp fights outside where work will be evident. TB isnt a huge jabber esp. as fight goes on and he starts feeling himself. Thats a good poin body work will make a diff in this fight which swings in lp's favor. yeah the jab right hand between bradleys hooks and uppercuts as bradley comes in to headbutt. I hope lp's corner talks to ref about butts and hitting and holding. Bradley has a reputation for it

I'm expecting him to throw short right hands when Bradley throws a left hook, a stiff jab-right hand combination, and for him to throw a right hand over the top of Bradley's jab. Bradley's left hand is a bit low and he brings it back low after his jab.
He'll probably work the left hook to the body too. I actually think he tears Bradley up on the inside.

ive seen it too and i dont like it either but against blain (i know blain's no bradley) he didnt always go into a shell to block he realized he could take his punch and tried to land in between or stayed out of range, which he'll do against bradley, until he came in and capitalized without throwing guard up. That is how he blocks but he has great footwork, long reach and fast hands which in that combination, 1/2 stepback lead right over left hook or 1,2 bw bradley's wide hooks

The thing is, I've seen Peterson fight out of a high guard a lot, or at least too much IMO for someone of his skill level. I just think it's the way his style is, and not that he does it in certain situations.

agreed i couldn't understand the look in holt's eyes as rounds went on, he looked lost and defeated. Campbell is too old for bradley and tb took advantage as he should've. The only place we disagree is i believe bradley is going to lunge in to close distance or at least throw lead hooks which peterson can time without having to go to that high guard. After tasting bradley's power i think he will gain confidence and begin timing tb rather than going into that shell

He was worn down by the pressure, but he didn't even establiash a rythm early in the fight. You'd think he'd build upon the knockdown, but he didn't.
The jab is the key, and Bradley was often backed up or stopped in his tracks with it, that is absolutely correct. Holt, like I said, was far too inactive during the fight.
Bradley's technique did show improvement against Campbell, but the fight only lasted three rounds, and even then he got a bit wild. He still squares up when he throws lost numerous hooks to the body. As far as countering punching, Peterson does hold his gloves high, which means it won't be as easy for him to counterpunch. It's also easier for Bradley to see the punches coming when Peterson holds them that high.
It's possible. I do think Peterson's chances are growing the more I look into it, but I would discount Bradley's chances. He definitely has the ability to win this.

holt was shocked and broken by bradley's constant pressure. He refused to use advantages throughout fight.
Peterson knows bradley and will not be caught off guard by his pressure. Peterson has huge reach advantage and a good jab that will disrupt tb's timing. tb always backed off when holt stuck out his jab and peterson will jab from outside often.
Bradley also knows his only way to win is inside and his punches are wide and often inaccurate coming in. His defense is his offense and that is the formula for getting counterpunched.
I see bradley geting frustrated and taking chances mid-late in fight and taking punishment for recklessness. Only peterson (or biased judges) can beat himself and I see lamont taking this one back to the district by UD.

I would agree that Peterson is the better inside fighter, as he doesn't square himself up like Bradley. Bradley mainly throws a lot of hooks, but Peterson incorporated uppercuts to go along with his left hook.
The only thing I don't like about Peterson is that a lot of times he has the really high guard and can't counterpunch as effectively as he is able. I think he also has a tendency to go into an Abraham like shell. If he does that a lot, it'll give the judges and crowd the impression Bradley is winning the round becaude he'll just keep throwing. Also, Peterson has average power, and if the left hook that Holt landed on Bradley couldn't deter him from coming in, what can Peterson hit him with that will?
Despite losing, I thought, Holt actually had the right gameplan to beat Bradley, but just wasn't active enough and he threw his right hand in too much of a chopping motion when he tried to counter over Bradley's lazy jab.

If you wanna go down to 15 or 10 grand I'm cool with that.
We can do 20K that's cool. Trying to limit the number of bets I do on a single fight to 5, already got 3 and one pending
I dunno man, I think Peterson has the better skills and technique.
How about another 20K on Martinez?
Alright, 20K on Martinez.......might be the last one though
