Would Mayweather have looked as impressive against Cotto like Pac?

how would he have hurt Cotto? The same way he hurt JMM? He knocked JMM down and proceeded to fight with caution. Cotto has a significantly better chin the Hatton so it wouldnt have looked like the Hatton fight either. There is nothing in Floyd's last fights that indicate he would have destroyed Cotto in the manner Pacquiao did. If you're a fan of the sport, you'd see that. if you're a fan you would know that any fighter could be hurt at any given time. for the record cottos chin and stamina are terrible. plus i never said he would have destroyed him the that fashion but he can knock him out

Floyd may not have eventually knocked out Cotto, but he damn sure wouldn't have lost rounds to him. That makes a Mayweather shutout a better win than Pac's in my opinion, much like the win over Marquez being > Pac's win over JMM. Just my opinion. I thought the first round was the only one Pacquiao lost.

He would win a less entertaining decision. No way would he be as aggressive as Pacquiao, he wasn't even too aggressive against Marquez.

cotto would have landed less than 100 punches yeah but floyd wouldn't have landed more punches than cotto, he's too conservative with his offense. floyd would've scraped by with a SD... he wouldn't put enough pressure to stop cotto.

Mayweather would outbox Cotto clearly but Cotto would finish the fight. so no.

As a matter of fact, Floyd would have been more cautious with Cotto because Cotto ovbiously has faster and heavier hands. Cotto's jab WOULD reach Floyd. Fight could go two ways. 1. UD for Mayweather (most likely what would of happened) 2. Cotto would of knocked Floyd out around 6-7 round ^^^^^^^^^^I'll go with this^^^^^^^^^^^^

Floyd fans need to be real. He could have won, but it would have been a cautious display last his last fights at this weight. Yep, It would be a caution display of counterpunching skills, Cotto wouldnt even take half of the punishment he took against Pac.

Floyd POTSHOTS from a defensive stance when attacks. He in no way exchanges or throws combinations. How can anyone say he would have beat Cotto in an exciting manner?
