Williams has the "WBO Interim Junior Middleweight title"...so it is not really a legit title by the WBO?
Not looking past his next opponent because he has a tough test on his hands and anything can happen, but I think Paul has the chance to hold the WW/SMW/MW title all at once if he could get a chance to do so. That would be something to put down in history because I think Armstrong was the only other one to do it...right, wrong?
It could also help boxing by marketing such a Champion. But even in today's era of more belts; fighters are also more inactive and still avoid challenges.
WW: Williams could take on Pac for WBO belt or Mosley for the lineal title for a big boost in popularity...but will they fight him at 147?
MW: Pavlik...well, that fight fell through. Maybe he can get a shot at Sturm or whoever else holds a title there.
I'm not even sure who has all the belts in each of those divisions anymore but with all those belts, surely something can be set up to see if he can do it. No guarantee he can but it would be interesting if he could and a good way to promote him for boxing: 3 fights, 3 titles in different weight-classes.

pwill could be fighting for martinez's belt if he could make 154 lbs
And yet Roger said Williams would be the toughest test for Floyd...and Shane doesn't want to fight him...and I doubt Pac will either.
Williams could lose...he has some holes in his defense...which should be corrected with another trainer. Even his punching can be helped.
Again, Im a super huge Williams fan. Dont think that I mean he is garbage. I think he is also all of those guys toughest fight, except for maybe Pac because I think being Southpaw is big. Williams maybe right now in terms of skills a top 3 P4P boxer and he may be even higher but Im just saying that he hasnt really proven that yet so I wont give him that for sure like alot of others are. It wouldnt shock me right now to see him beat Mosley, Floyd, Pac, Cotto, Martinez, and Pavlik. It also wouldnt shock me to see him lose to Martinez and get KO by a Mosley or something. Thats how I feel about him right now and he's the only guy I feel like that about. I just have to see more. Ofcourse he needs someone to give him a chance but its also his own fault. Thats what people have to remember. All he had to do was beat Quintana the 1st time and everyone would be looking at him totally different right now but he didnt and that was a real loss
He will never get that chance...nobody in the welters will fight him.....
marg will.
sign the contract! (as soon as marg gets his license back. :lol1:)

uncle benny........ i thought you don't like fighters that cut a lot of weight to make a division. :)
The funny thing about the Williams-Quintana rematch is that everyone says that it proves the 1st fight was a fluke. How? If anything the 1st fight is way more legit than the 2nd. He beat Williams clearly over 12 rounds and it couldnt be disputed. Williams just caught him with one punch that could happened to anyone. Even in that 1st round I again felt that Quintana was connecting on him easily until that blow.
Back then Cotto & Margarito were beast and I remember saying that even though Cotto & Margarito are way better than Quintana, I actually think that if Williams fights all 3 of them 100 times, that he would lose to Quintana more than the other 2 because that Southpaw style gives him hell. Thats why I actually think Pac could give him some problems. Im not nearly as high on Martinez as others on here are but I could see him doing some of the same things to him that Quintana did

Pwill ain't seein WW again. And nobody there would fight him if he could make it. JMW is his ideal place imo. MW got nothin but Pavlik who don't want none.

who's on ur p4p list?
mosley schooled 4 times (winky/forrest)
pacquiao schooled 2-3 times depends on who you're talking to (morales/marquez)
bernard schooled both young (roy) and old (calzaghe)
marquez schooled by floyd/pacquiao
cotto schooled by margarito/pacquiao
who else?????????????
I dont get what you are saying here. Are you trying to come at me and challange what I was saying? I said no one else has a loss like that. Its to an average guy. Look at the losses that you put on your screen. They are all to elite fighters except for Pac but those were when he was a teen
How do people know he has that ability? He really only beat Winky off of a 2 year retirment and he barely beat Margarito and Mosley slaughtered him. Most of all he was easily skooled for over 12 rounds by Quintana. Not one single P4P guy has a loss like that on there resume and its recent. Its not even a fluke loss. I mean he was beat over 12 rounds. If Floyd had an L like that then everyone would disown him.
This is coming from a die hard Williams fan. I truly am but I think people have the blinders on for this guy way too much. Way too much.

Yes, I understand that and I saw that fight but he did knock him out in the rematch. The fact that he has lost and exposed a bit should make things more interesting.
Mosley also has a different style than Williams for someone like Margarito: Shane went right after him and exploded a big shot to Magarito's body early which ended the fight. Williams just throws out his hands and looks to overwhelm his opponents with punch-out-put.
And we shouldn't get to into Floyd because Floyd hasn't stepped up at 147+

You make a very valid point.
I personally just think his physical advantages (more notably at 147 and 154) plus his workrate are a nightmare matchup for anyone.
And in regards to Quintana, its obvious that Paul had a horrible camp, if I'm not mistaken he came in several pounds over the limit, and he avenged that loss with a first round stoppage.
That being said, based on accomplishments, I don't see how he is ranked so highly on most P4P rankings.
Sergei Dzindrziruk (sp?) has a belt at 154 and he was calling Paul out
Maybe he should take the fight if they could set up what I was talking about. If they can't...money tends to dictate more than anything which is why people also avoid. Fighters fight so little that making one fight against one opponent can make you miss an opportunity against another.
Like for Williams, he can be high-risk, low reward (for pay) even though they could market him better as a tough challenge to some fighters. Mosley and Pac would probably pass on him because they could lose out in pay (if not marketed properly as well as them just losing because Williams is a tough challenge.
Getting the 3 fight set-up would be the best marketing tool to get the most out of him for profit. Other than that, picking and choosing titles and unkown opponents is something that isn't as lucritive for him because having one fight set-up could make you miss another.

What's sad is that he probably can't get the fights...but I'm certain he would win them if he did.
I kinda feel bad for P-Will. But damn...fighters today need to stop being pussies and man up and do it how they did in the 80's and just duke it out.
People are more concerned with NOT losing than they are with fighting and beating the best.
