Right, first off I don't wanna talk about all this who's the draw shit I just wanna see the fight happen and I know PPV #'s aren't that big of a deal.
But as a Boxing fan I am just proud to see that Boxing has sold so well this year, getting over a million buys on 2 seperate PPV's is very imprressive... apparently the last time that happened was in 1999, that's 10 years ago... that's a good achievement for Boxing overall.
So, its just great to see Boxing doing so well lately, don't you agree?
Oh and Mayweather vs Pacquiao, 50/50... 147. Make the fight happen!
Its a ****ing wake up call to HBO and promoters that they shouldnt be oversaturating the market with bullshit PPVS month after month. And also another wake up call that they need to be putting on better fights and start cultivating the next stars.
and its a bigger ****ing wake up call to those who hate on boxing.
I agree... Boxing is getting bigger and bigger now, I mean it never was dying IMO... but its just getting bigger again after it kinda dropped a little in popularity, this whilst we aint in the best HW era too... I mean I respect Klitschko's and all but you know what I mean.
Whilst its gaining it popularity the biggest fights should be put up to keep it like that.
boxing's lucky to not only have two genuine cross-over stars around at one time; but two cross-over stars who are in the same weight division around at the same time. opportunities like this don't come around often.
Obviously big #s are good for boxing as a sport. Those #s just mean fukk all to us as viewers, or at least some of us, cuz we ain't gettin a cut.
Of course mate... but still good to see Boxing doing good IMO.
