Me and Manny train together, we have the same trainer and everything. I totally respect him and what a great performance he produced at the weekend," Khan said.
"He was amazing, I was there to watch the fight and it inspires you. When you see a great champion do that and think about the fact I was training with the guy for five weeks, to pick up even a little bit of experience from that is going to help me in my career.
"But as for fighting him in the future, I can't really see that happening because I'm sure by the time I get to that level he will probably be calling it a day.
"We train in the same camp and I've got too much respect for Manny to fight him."

LOL. You nailed it.
From what I;'ve seen of Khan's sparring, he has definitely taken Manny's style and tried to incorporate it into his own. I would too. It's inspirational.

Pac would kill him anyway.
If they fought right now...yes...khan will definitely lose....That's the reason why khan made the statement....he knows his limits......However, I do see Khan getting in that level after a couple of years....I'll be watching his career....
Yup...I respect boxers who know their limits.....Khan will reach that level(he's a good boxer) and I won't be surprised if he reaches the same level as manny...he does have the best trainer in boxing on his corner :)
Good to see that you figured out that you were the one I was talking about... I really like your insight on this thread man. Keep up the good posting.

Khan makes a ton of sense here.
1. He does respect Manny. They train together, and have developed quite the friendship because of it.
2. It's awesome that Khan is a world champion and still recognizes that he is not anywhere near Pacquiao's level. He says, when he gets up to his peak, Pacquiao will be long gone. I love this part of the article.
I just gained a lot of respect for Amir Khan.

what he means is, by the time he grows some balls and fights a top 140 or even 135, manny will have retired. which won't make much of a difference because as soon as amir steps up to the plate he's getting KTFO.
Great points made by Khan...He knows that he's not in the same level as manny yet.....By the time amir reaches his peak, Manny would be long gone from boxing...
