Said "Winky was a smaller man, DLH smaller man, Tito smaller man and when he faced people his own size, he got beat, got beat by Roy Jones, Taylor twice and then he got beat by Calzaghe".
This should be very interesting, B-Hop's gonna get at him. He opened Pandora's Box. Atleast I love drama :lol1:
B-Hop GET EM!!!
I know it's hard, but who says who Floyd is gonna fight or not fight? Stop living in the past if you're still upset he didn't fight so-and-so back in 2006.
theres a ton of WHAT IF's on boxing's colorful history, much of this decade's prominence lies on PBF's legacy. we've had the "what if ray leonard fought hagler 2 years earlier?", what if "roy jones jr never moved up to heavyweight?". it'll be sad for future fight fans to ask "what if pbf cleaned out his division?"

What ppl forget is that yet again hops was the underdog in the Trinidad fight. DLH wanted to fight him. DLH was willing to move up there was no dispute on it. DLH even wanted to win a title so it made the fight bigger. The Winkey fight didnt make much sence to me but Calz cleaned out SMW and Hops couldnt make SMW in a healthy matter. One of Floyds biggest wins came against Hatton and didnt he have to come up in weight to face Floyd? Also JMM had to come up how many weight classes? Hops won the first Taylor fight or atleast should have ended in a draw. I still think he beat Calz. But for Floyd to make comments like this is way out of line. He claims he didnt want to fight Pac bc his words were if I win I get no credit bc he is smaller than me. Wasnt JMM smaller than Floyd? Wasnt Hatton smaller? Yea he went up to fight DLH but he was pushed to the edge by an over it DLH. Im not making excuses bc I picked DLH to win. So there is not excuse there. But he kinda makes himself sounds bad when he says things about Bhop that him hiself has done also.
one thing is for sure, he DOESNT HAVE THE GUTS to fight somebody who he thinks can beat him. retiring just like that without cleaning his division and claiming he's the best out there by coming back and beating jmm?
now ive seen your posts around here. you'd probably come back with a "pbf dont owe you anything" theme. you're wrong, he owes the world a lot, you dont proclaim yourself the best without backing it up. beat the best to be the best.
if he doesnt wanna get hit because its not cool, then he should go back doing tv dancing and professional wrestling.
great champions (in any sport) risk it all.
Thank you for reading my posts. I guess I'd argue here that it's just a matter of opinion. Floyd just said he came back.. he thinks he can improve.. and he has a list. You don't think you can give him the benefit of a doubt and wait for his next fight to be announced? Patience. I know it's hard, but who says who Floyd is gonna fight or not fight? Stop living in the past if you're still upset he didn't fight so-and-so back in 2006.
And again- your thought process is small-minded. You think he owes you something because YOU think he should do this or that. That is fine- you're entitled to think that. But YOU don't think for EVERYONE. Some of us think Floyd HAS proven it. Why is one group's beliefs more important than anothers? They aren't. Let's just wait and see. 2010 is going to offer alot for boxing fans. We all win.
You dislike Floyd. We get it. He doesn't do what you want. Understood. Doesn't mean he doesn't have skills. The End.

Obviously floyd says he deserves a bigger slice of the pie, i think it should be split 50/50. Floyd has been out of the game for a while and was great in his comeback fight and his ppv against jmm were amazing but pac has been pretty great himself recently so its evens for me. Plus pac just fought cotto and it could be easily argued that cotto is a man that floyd should have fought back in 2008. Cotto was there and ready after he beat mosley but floyd retired. Thats a minus for floyd imo.
name me a fighter pink floyd has fought that is better than;
calzaghe
roy jones jr.
oscar
trinidad
winky wright
Name me one. ohh wait, you cant.
I still cant understand why pink floyd is held at such high regard when his best name on his really sparse resume is
diego corrales
old oscar
castillo 2x
gatti
hatton
old marquez
Seriously, how did this guy fool so many people into his percieved greatness?
Because people who know boxing, and do not let personal dislike get in the way of actual fact, can see his skill and greatness.
Thats why people who are critics of Floyd, like Dougie Fischer, Larry Merchant, Brian Kenny, etc.- they all admit Floyd's skill is unbelievable.
So how did he fool those guys? They are in the industry- unlike you. Larry Merchant has seen 30 years of fights closer than you ever well- is Floyd SO clever he can fool people like that?
You dislike Floyd. We get it. He doesn't do what you want. Understood. Doesn't mean he doesn't have skills. The End.
hhhhmmm he spends a lot of time putting down pac and his achievements and pacs opponents. Barrera was 29 when he first fought pac. His only loss in the last 15 fights before fighting him was a split decision against morales. The fight before pac barrera stopped kevin kelley in four. That doesnt sound too bad to me does it? Yes he has a point about morales, he did beat pac and morales was past it when pac beat him. He has a point about oscar too, floyd did fight the better oscar. Floyd also beat hatton but at 147, hatton was a 140ib'er, hatton then put in a very good performance against the magic man and then pac finished him off at 140. Both were good wins for floyd and pac, both similiar to me. Hatton is not in either pacs or floyd league at any weight. As for jmm, yeah floyd beat him so easy and pac was in two wars. So i agree with some of what floyd says and not others.
Nope he doesn't but PBF is real good friends With chad Dawson so he is jus tryin to get B Hop to fight him, thats all shit talking for business. I like it make ppl look at the sport more to see whats going on
thats exactly what this is about, that and what happened after the marquez fight.
he's right, still does'nt change the fact that you have to either be young as hell or just damned skilled to beat him, obviously tho being ''damned skilled'' is the only way to get a victory over a prime young hopkins

It's true. Its ironic RA hard on B-Hops nuts when B-Hops always fighting smaller guys. It's ironic that he shitted on Floyds win over Oscar with Manny beat him better, Manny beat Oscar better than Borenard did.
If there is one fighter you don't want to get ina war of words with its Hopkins.
yeah cause god forbid if hopkins calls him out...(just f'ing with you street bully)...lol
I absolutely love and respect The Executioner. If he showed up right now and said, "boy, cut my grass right this second" (I have an apartment 12 minutes from his estate), I'd say, "yes sir". Not because I'm scared of him- only a foolish man wouldn't- just because I love that guy. He is also someone unappreciated, mostly due to his outgoing, anti "yes boss" mentality- just like Floyd.
That being said, this isn't Saved By The Bell... "This isn't good" etc. What, is B-Hop going to fly to Las Vegas to do a drive by? Hopkins isn't going to start a fight. He might say something- I'm sure of it- but he isn't going to wait on the street or something. B-Hop is too smart to play the fool to anyone. Count on it.
Natural LHW? B-Hop is a career M.W. The only time 160 had an affect on him was during his 2 fights against Taylor.
he's a natural lightheavy who spent his career at middle...floyd is keeping it real honestly...a lot of people used to sweep it under the rug, but lately more fighters and analyists admit that hopkins not only scaled down, but beat up on smaller fighters over his career...
