Cotto on Clottey fight: "The last fight I spent more than 24 hours doing nothing. Just waiting for the weigh-in. My weight was 145."

Your Brain,
Yep. It's drained.
Weight drained? No.
Just shit training, bad habits and no stamina? Yes.
Pac beating him had nothing to do with the weight. He would have lost at 147 too. Cotto doesn't know what to do when someone can take his punches well and hurt him back. He hardly went to Pac's body when Pac was against the ropes, letting him punch too, which was foolish because he could have got a lot of work done at those times but stood back not doing anything probably trying to conserve energy because he knows he gasses so bad.
I think that shows the difference between the old Cotto, pre Marg, and the new Cotto, post Marg. He doesn't have that same brutality. He tries to box more but does a terrible job of it and ends up getting himself trapped in bad positions and ends up getting hit more than he would if he went forward. Terrible defense too and just tires himself out more by moving away so much without needing to.
If Clottey had tried to go non stop for the KO in their fight and had better stamina you would have seen the same thing happen in that fight to Cotto as it did against Marg and Pac.
Yeah, I agree. Cotto fought the wrong fight plan. Big mistake, because all things considered, it was a winnable fight for him had he done it with a different approach.
SUNKEN cheeks = weight drained. your thoughts?
You should be ashamed to your self of still showing here after Pacquiao beat the shit out of Hatton...:lame:
SUNKEN cheeks = weight drained. your thoughts?
So you were making excuses BEFORE the fight why? You already knew he was going to lose? Serious? That's some NOSTRADAMUS shit right there!
What makes me mad is that if Pacquiao knew he would win, why ask force Cotto to fight at a catchweight?
First of all nobody forced Cotto, he didn't have to come in 1 or 2 lbs lighter. He agreed to it knowing that 145lbs is around his usual weight for weigh in. So that excuse along with the weight drain is thrown out of the window. Cotto looked cut and big IMO, he actually looked better compare to the Clottey fight and he was sharp up to the 5th round even after the two knockdowns. The fact is he took too much beating all over especially the head, he's got to learn to be more defensive and not take too many punches especially power punches. I'm sure he'll bounce back stronger and smarter, Cotto is young, strong, and proud, i want to see him destroy Margarito when he comes back.
