i know cause they are impossible to find. i think you forget soto ko'd pacquiao! genaro is better than soto at this point but soto just made it to the top so we will see how he does. and he's not even in the same league as vasquez.
That's the rason for me being upset. I'm a member to World Boxing Video Archive and have looked everywhere for Ganero's fights against Azumah Nelson, Carlos Gerena, Carlos Hernandez and can't find anything. I can't base anything off on how he looked against the MUCH bigger DLH and Mayweather.
Would be interesting. I actually think Morales would be able to outbox Hernandez. He would be much quicker as Hernandez was slow and I think his combinations would beat Hernandez' too. A bit more rounded.
Hernandez was good at everything but didn't really have anything he did very good. He could box well, fight well, stay outside or inside ok, counter punch or lead ok, but he didn't do any of those great. He had a good run at 130 and was kind of lucky that he got there when he did as it was just after the great fighters at 130 for that time were running down or aging. He got those guys on the tail end of their careers and made a name doing it and then had a bunch of other defenses against sort of ok opposition before being taken apart badly by Oscar when he tried to move up to LW for the fight.
I think Morales would win but it depends which Morales showed up. If it was the average one at 130 then Hernandez would beat him but if it was the good one at 130, which wasn't very often to be honest, then Morales would take it. I don't think Morales was half the fighter at 130 he was at 122 and if he fought his usual fight there it's quite possible that Hernandez could beat him but if he fought an inspired fight and looked a bit closer to what he looked like as a 122/126 fighter then he would win. He didn't have that many good fights at 130 though when it comes down to it whereas Hernandez spent his whole career there and was a big dude at the weight too. Very tall.
As usual Benny, I agree with you. :lol1: :fing02:
This is an interesting fight, Hernandez lost to only 2 guys, both guys were more well skilled than him and managed to outbox him, I'm not sure if Morales would've been able to do that, Morales would've been the smaller and shorter man, Morales also had trouble with counterpunchers, Hernandez was a pretty good counterpuncher but then again Morales might have been able to get to Hernandez and steadily wear him down. It's a tough fight to call IMO.

I'm sure you haven't even seen those. I know enough to say that he is much better then Soto.

kidding me? he had a long title run but he only fought 3 ranked fighters his entire career. UD over carlos hernandez, SD over 39 year old azumah nelson, SD over anatoly alexandrov. here's what happened to alexandrov in the first round when he fought freitas -Alexandrov knocked unconscious for 5 minutes and taken out on a stretcher.

Actually Genaro Hernandez was pretty good. I watched a few of his fights in L.A. He was not great but he was very good, he was a top fighter. I am trying to see if I can compare him to anybody right now... I can't think of anybody is late. I will say he was better than Humberto Soto and Izzy Vazquez. But, not as good as JMM, Barrera, and Morales.

EM but none here know how good Ganero is because we can't find none of his fucking fights, I've looked everywhere. I'm not gonna base it off getting beat bad by Oscar (@ LW) / Mayweather because that could have happened to EM.
