Bernard Hopkins from 1997-and up would destroy Roid Jones Junior.
Thats why he ducked him for his rematch. Its common sense.
Bob Foster would deck Jones with his monsterous power.
Archie Moore would deck Jones with his Monserous Power.
Hagler at middlewight would bully him.
Floyd Patterson would be able to make LHW and he would own and KO jones 2.
Jones is one of the most overrated boxers of the past 30 years. He had the skills but ducked great opposition throughout his career. His best fight is James Toney but we all know Toney was weight drained. He beat Hopkins which was a fight he didn't dominate over a VERY GREEN bernard Hopkins with no amatuer career in his fight big fight.
Roy with probles in the weighin outbox Hopkins with out problems... in 1997 had passed the same or Roy KO in the lates rounds
Patterson Hagler and Foster I dont think can win a prime Roy
How quickly people forget. Ive never seen the combination of speed and power that RJ had in his prime. Too bad there was no on around to test his will and courage. Prime Toney and Hopkins never would of beaten a primed Jones.

Not a smart question to ask. Fact is, both Roy and B-Hop had improved much after that. I had it 7-5 and that isn't exactly dominating either.
i have 9 - 3 for RJJ

i agree with that, but i would'nt say by much, they just got older adding more mass, athletesism is at its peak in your 20's
yea your right, cuz hopkins was 3 years of age when roy fought him right?
not prime defientely, what makes you say he was'nt prime? he had'nt lost for 22 fights before meeting jones and had'nt lost 24 fights after jones
what was so differrent in his style? did he not lead in with the right hand, headbutt and then clinch jones?
im curious, was his stamina not at it's best at 28? or was it better at 35?

we could say that in his ''prime'' he was'nt an aggresive fighter but a full time boring counterpuncher....but who made the fight between him and jones borin? defienetly not jones

Lmao. Those Hopkins headbutts could be vicious Winky and Mercado I comes to mind
I'd pick a prime B-Hop over Roy.

no one absolutely no one on gods earth wouldve beaten roy between middle and light heavy. mrboxer's list is so wack he is now on my ignore list
I'd pick a prime B-Hop over Roy.
hahaha, i love it whne people say shit like this, you expect toney to fight jones like he did barkley? how's that gonna work?
A focused, well prepared Toney could give anyone trouble. What great fighters did Roid Jones even beat in his glorious prime anyway?
I don't think anyone would be able to beat a prime RJJ. Although people said he only fought no names thru out his carreer, you put Roy against any ATG at MW or LH. Roy we prevail.
The Toney that fought Barkley would have a chance.

i will give you a few,my time is to valuable to give the couple of hundred that i have on the top of my head, hagler, lalonde, benitez, leonard,:boxing:
lalonde and benites not give trubles to roy, hagler and leonard I dont think they can win against a prime Roy
